Description

Volume 2, Episode 30: Frankie seeks her ghoulfriends' advice about a monster dilemma and Cleo catches Deuce rocking out with Operetta.

Summary

Frankie goes on a date with Holt and in the end finds he's more than meets the eye. Draculuara thinks Frankie has a crush, but Frankie denies it. Jackson then shows up, who had been clear from her mind during all of this, and she is surprised that she forgot all about him and the fact that she was crushing on to two boys. Before she can dwell on this, Clawdeen shows up hyped about two zombie boys fighting over Ghoulia. Frankie soon realizes that the same thing might happen between Holt and Jackson over her.
After consulting Teen Scream, she gets the (quite lazy) advice to ask her friends, which turned out to be quite disastrous. Lagoona broke out into tears over Gil; Clawdeen and Draculaura completely ignored her while favoring a conversation about when Clawd can go out with Draculaura and Cleo was too preoccupied spying on Deuce and Operetta, in which she found "evidence" that Deuce was legitimately cheating on her.
After this, Frankie realizes just how complicated romantic relationships can be. Realizing that dealing with just one boy is hard enough she decides that she has to make a choice: Holt or Jackson.

Notes

  • The title of course plays on the Bermuda Triangle and a Love Triangle.
  • The Bermuda Triangle is a region of the Atlantic where ships and airplanes are said to be lost mysteriously. It might be used for its paranormal aspects.
  • Draculaura keeps a Monster Beat magazine in her locker. The Monster Beat Magazine might be a play on Teen Beat Magazine, or less likely, Tiger Beat Magazine.
  • The other zombie Slo-Moe fights for Ghoulia's affections is "Don" by the sound of it.
  • The Teen Scream Magazine Frankie seeks guidance from might be a play on Teen Scene Magazine.
  • The song lyrics Operetta helps Deuce write uses the lines:
"You make my life complete, Our love is stronger than concrete."
