Howleen Wolf thinks her sister Clawdia Wolf's adventurous stories are fangtastic—whether they're fact or over-the-top monster fiction.
From her home in Londoom, Clawdia writes her latest short story for Howleen's reading pleasure, which she sends per email. Howleen is excited to receive a new entry in Clawdia's oeuvre and invites Twyla to read it with her. As the heroine of her own story, Clawdia details how she was personally invited to Londoom Castle by the Queen, taught Her Majesty how to play fetch, and then met the famous ocean explorer Yukques Cousteau.
Clawdeen and Clawd observe Howleen enjoying the story and think that she still believes Clawdia's tales are real. Clawdeen worries about Howleen's reaction when she learns the truth, but Clawd doesn't think it'll be a problem. Meanwhile, Howleen continues the story, this time sharing it with even more students. Clawdia writes that after the events at the castle, she and Yuksques Cousteau went on a voyage. A squid stole his hat, so Clawdia dove after it to wrestle the hat back for Yuksques, which coincidentally made her the winner of the Underwater Wrestling Championship.
Seeing the attention Howleen gathers with Clawdia's stories, Clawd starts to reconsider Clawdeen's point of view. They decide to talk with Howleen before things get worse, but just then Headmistress Bloodgood announces that Howleen will be reading Clawdia's latest story in the clawditorium. The duo races onto stage mid-story to warn Howleen. After a moment of silence, Howleen replies that she—and the whole school, for that matter—knows the stories are made up; Clawdia is a writer, after all, and the students were just genuinely enjoying the stories. As the crowd requests that Howleen continues, Clawdeen and Clawd leave the stage with no little embarrassment.
