Sloman "Slo Mo" Mortavitch premiered in the books in "Chapter 13: Snatch Me If You Can" of the Monster High book series, which premiered August 8, 2012.
Slo-Mo meets Julia Phelps or Ghoulia Yelps out when she is riding her new scooter somewhere in Monster High somewhere. Ghoulia crashes into Sloman "Slo Mo" Mortavitch during the ride and instantly falls in love with him because of he is good looking and shared interest in Dead Fast. In the end, she offers him a ride.
