The Great Scarrier Reef is located in the Coral Sea, which itself is located off the northeast coast of Australia. It is the largest coral reef system in the world and home to various salt water monsters.
History
When she's at home in the Great Scarrier Reef, Lagoona Blue lives at 4004 Davy Jones Circle. Nowadays, Lagoona resides in the USA so she can attend Monster High, but she usually uses her vacations to go home to the Great Scarrier Reef.
On one particular visit to the Great Scarrier Reef, Lagoona was sent a luxurious boat by her parents so she could bring along her friends. Lagoona was stoked about the opportunity to introduce her boyfriend, Gillington "Gil" Webber, to her parents. Gil was everything but happy to go. When the ship got sunk and Lagoona and her friends got lured to Skull Shores and got captured, Gil swam the remaining distance to the Great Scarrier Reef on his own to find Lagoona's parents and ask them for help. Gil found the Blue's to be less terrifying than he imagined. After Gil and Lagoona's parents saved Lagoona and her friends, the group presumably had an enjoyable Spring Break at the Great Scarrier Reef.
It'll be the main location in the upcoming special of the same name.

- In a poll on the Monster High facebook account, fans are to vote where their ideal Spring Break vacation would be spent. The options are the Great Scarrier Reef, Monster Horn Mountains, and Gloom Beach.
