Monster High: Finders Creepers is the third app created as part of Monster High, as well as the first such app created for the iPad. It was released on October 4, 2012, and is part of Mattel's Apptivity line-up. This line-up, heavily based on the popular franchise's Mattel owns or has access to, seeks to combine the toy experience with the video game experience.
Finders Creepers is a four-sided and four-chaptered digital adventure that takes place at Monster High. One is supposed to purchase one or more of four available Finders Creepers figurines, representing the characters Frankie Stein, Draculaura, Clawdeen Wolf, and Lagoona Blue, and place them on the iPad screen to move the character through the adventure. Each character has their own adventure, emphasized by each of them having a unique power to get the most out of the adventure:
- Frankie Stein – zaps new life into objects with her electric touch.
- Draculaura – hangs from the ceiling and turns clues upside down with her bat’s-eye view.
- Clawdeen Wolf – sniffs out suspicious scents with her nose tuned for trouble.
- Lagoona Blue – peers through murky water with her "deep see" vision.
The first chapter of each character is playable without figurine by using one's finger, though the powers can't be accessed and the game can't progress past the first chapter. Completing the adventure with each character grants access to even more discovery.
