Honey boards the Bijou on the Bayou to get footage for her student film about the famous boat. Aboard, she meets a group of Monster High students, who quickly get in trouble when Ygor hijacks the boat to capture them. Honey calls upon the alligators living in the bayou to form a bridge to the shore for them to escape over. It isn't until they're safely back in the streets of New Goreleans that Honey even learns why the others were aboard the Bayou Bijou: to find a letter left by Elissabat to Dracula. Since Honey was thorough in getting her footage, she just so happens to have a recording of an encased letter, which is indeed Elissabat's. It does not, however, help the Monster High students any further. Only a coincidental assumption inspires them to follow the trail to Hauntlywood, which is a place Honey will gladly join them to. She doesn't regret her choice at all when coincidence brings her in contact with her idol, Sofeara Gorepola, who hires her for a number of underwater shots. Honey's fortune isn't even limited to that, as she is also hired as the camerawoman for the new Vampire Majesty movie, which means she gets to work with many friends she made since boarding the Bijou on the Bayou. Honey is seen doing marionette tricks in a flashforward. At present time though, Honey is filming Frankie at Theatre Class and witnesses Mr. Grundenson announcement of the cancelling of the art classes. She then proceeds to help the rest of the students store the materials at the Monster High storage room and they plan how to save the dance, until Gooliope shakes the whole room, alarming Honey and the ghouls. Listening to Gooliope's speech Honey claims she will join the fight for the art classes helping out with the circus. [Source]

Mr. Grunderson storms down the halls of Monster High as Clawdeen complains about the loss of the arts programs. Twyla, next to her, adds that she will never show off her stilt skills because of that decision. That moment the lights go off. Surprising everyone, one by one, spotlights light up over each member of the 'permanent' Freak du Chic: Frankie, Rochelle, Toralei, Jinafire, Honey, and Gooliope, which introduces herself and the circus fundraiser she and the crew are about to organize. The students in the halls get excited. Clawdeen and Twyla plan to help at the show too, only Grunderson is not too amused.

At the Board of Deaduction officer, Grunderson shows the Skullastic Superintendents the Freak du Chic posters, demanding for such activity to be canceled due to lack of authorization. However, Headless Headmistress Bloodgood and Nightmare storm in the room and demand the show to be authorized. The Skullastic Superintendents decide that the arts program will then be closed if the show isn't ready that night.

Bloodgood immediately warns the Freak du Chic crew, which isn't happy with the decision, claiming they're not prepared. Bloodgood asks them to show of their talents. Frankie performs well but Honey gets tangled in her marionette strings, going against Frankie and knocking Toralei over, causing her ball to bump on Jinafire who falls over Rochelle. Bloodgood starts to worry, however Clawdeen and Twyla enter the room and ask for help to enter the show, to which Gooliope responds 'The more the merrier'. [Source]

Disappointed with the show's quality, the students evolved in the fundraising activities sit inside the big tent, miserable over their failures. However, Gooliope gives an inspirational speech claiming that a world without the arts is boring and that the ghouls wouldn't want to be in such a situation, calling the ghoul's confidence back up. She then proceeds to tell them that what they've been doing wrong all this time was that, instead of focusing on the show as a whole and as a group activity, the ghouls were too worried about their own success.

The flashback ends, going back to present times, where Bloodgood presents the crew and shows the crowd how they can make donations to bring back the art program, using their iCoffins to raise money until midnight. The Freak du Chic starts, each student performing wonderful tricks and helping each other while creating not just a group of small performances but also a big performance.

The crowd is going wild and the fund raising goal is almost covered. Mr. Grunderson, not amused, interrupts the show, five minutes to the end, and claims that the show will never make it in time, the cuts are solely for the students own good. However his speech is stopped when a mild earthquake interrupts the show, making Grunderson question. Frankie explains that its in fact Gooliope, who is wobbling since she is irritated by the accountant's words. Grunderson looses his balance and is thrown around the tent by various circus objects, only to fall in Gooliope's trunk and be spitted afterwards, only he comes out fully dressed as a clown. The crowd cheers, making the troll confused, but happy, since he had never received so much love before, making him realize that the arts are indeed important. The donations boom and the arts program is safe. The crew celebrates and the crowd cheers. [Source]
