When Radio KBLOOD announces a contest of which the prize is that the Jaundice Brothers come play at the winner's school's homecoming dance, Frankie gets the entirety of Monster High to help put together a tape to sent in. As luck has it, they win the contest. [1]

Fear Squad - hand on the run

Frankie, Lagoona, and Draculaura attend Monster High's 1361st Annual Charity Talon Show to root for Clawdeen, who gives a killer performance.[2] In a hurry for a shortcut to Home Ick, Frankie bursts in on the Fear Squad's tryouts. She trips over a barbell and loses her right hand, thus forcing her to chase after it. In doing so, she performs several impressive moves and is promptly made a member of the squad. [3]

Frankie's Trigular Calcometry 101 class is hosted by a substitute teacher, Lou Zarr, who does not get along with the class. A conflict with Deuce leaves him petrified, upon which Frankie and the other students consider the class dismissed. [4]

Party Planners - cake

Frankie realizes it's Draculaura's Sweet 1600 and plans a surprise party for her, forgetting it is her own Sweet 16 (days) too. However, none of her friends can come to the party. Frankie sadly makes her way to the creepateria for lunch, where she bumps into Draculaura. It turns out that Draculaura was planning a surprise party for her all this time, but that didn't work out either, so the two friends agree to hold a party for just the two of them. As they open the doors to the creepateria, though, they are met by all their friends who were arranging a surprise party for the both of them. [5]

Bad Scare Day - shocking call

During Clawculus, Frankie, Clawdeen, and Draculaura try to get Lagoona to talk to rather than stare at Gil, a boy Lagoona likes. [6]

Frankie is one of the people Clawdeen confides to that she hasn't studied for the SAT. [7]

Witnessing Cleo accidentally do something nice for Draculaura, Frankie compliments her. [8]

Following a collision with Mr. Where in the hallways, Frankie plugs her bolts back in on the wrong ends, reversing her polarity and making her charge go haywire. The situation escalates in the creepateria, but fortunately Ghoulia has deduced what's wrong and fixes Frankie's problem. [9]

It's Picture Day, but Coach Igor's covering Study Howl and he's obsessed with sport. Frankie is dragged along by her friends on a looks-destroying escape from a looks-destroying workout, though Igor eventually catches up to tell them they won't have run lapses because of Picture Day. [10]

Bad Zituation - Frankie's mask

Ghoulia has her eyes on Slo Mo, but is too shy to talk to him. Frankie, Clawdeen, and Draculaura offer to help her out, but their aid is of such quality that Ghoulia timely decides to go with her own instinct. [11]

Frankie develops a zit on her cheek and walks around the school with a paper bag over her head until the Fearasil Ghoulia put on gets it gone. [12]

Frankie auditions for a role in the school production of Hamlet. [13]

Lagoona is highly upset that Mr. Hackington is about to dedicate that day's class to dissecting frogs. As such, she gets Frankie to create a diversion, while she saves the frogs. Frankie does so by detaching her hand, which crawls up Hackington and tickles him as well as starts an eyeball fight in the classroom. [14]

Totally Busted - greyscale standoff

Following a collision with Frankie in the hallways and Cleo's subsequent struggle to get loose, which resulted in a statue being knocked over and broken, the two girls are ordered to Headless Headmistress Bloodgood's office. There, Cleo puts all the blame on Frankie. Bloodgood accepts this and then informs Frankie that breaking the statue was a good thing because one of Monster High's first teachers had been locked inside of it for millennia. Frankie readily accepts the praise, much to Cleo's regret. [15]

Freakout Friday - lightning strike

It is both Friday the 13th and Halloween, a rare occurrence that spells bad luck galore until three o'clock. Frankie and her friends panic, but Cleo assures them that her amulet will protect them. However, Ghoulia's carrying the amulet and she just walked off. The girls chase after her to be safe, only to find her use the amulet to get to the big clock and adjust the time to three o'clock. [16]

Frankie and Lagoona attend the Mad Science Fair, where they find Cleo to have stolen Ghoulia's project. They try to get her to get it back, but Ghoulia declines. Cleo wins the fair and claims the 'throne', which actually is Lagoona's project: a rehydration chamber. Lagoona dunks Cleo, then hands Ghoulia the remote of the rehydration chamber. [17]

Shock and Awesome - sad Frankie

When Frankie's friends discover she's never seen a movie, they promptly take her to the auditorium to watch the entire TwiHard series. In preparing for the movie session, they overtax the room's electricity net. To solve this, the group hooks up the equipment to Frankie, allowing the movie session to go through but Frankie not to watch anything. [18]

It is discovered that vampires have the ability to turn into bats and Frankie and Clawdeen ask if Draculaura can show them. Draculaura lies she can, but not in front of them, so she leaves to the belfry where she falls asleep and a bat flies down into the school. Frankie and Clawdeen mistake the bat for Draculaura and spend a great day in its company. [19]

Frankie gets a text from Draculaura instructing her to send it along to anyone. Because she's walking while texting, Frankie bumps into a fountain which brings out her charge which in turn causes alterations to the text before it's sent through. [20]

Horrorscope - charged Frankie

Draculaura has a chance to meet her perfect guy, but she has to get into contact with him before school's out. Frankie attempts to stop him by shocking him, but he recovers swiftly. [21]

Lagoona and Frankie greet each other in the hallways. [22]

Ghoulia is invited to share lunch with Slo Mo, but she's scared, so Frankie offers to accompany her. However, Heath Burns also sits at the table and won't stop hitting on Frankie. Frankie retaliates by getting Heath to sit under a fire sprinkler, which Heath promptly activates to the amusement of many. [23]

A Scare of a Dare - Clawdeen's room

Frankie has her first sleepover at Clawdeen's house, where Cleo tries to manipulate Frankie into spilling whom she's crushing on through a game of Truth or Scare. Frankie chooses truth and is ordered to send a text reading "party at my house", which she does. Cleo is amused only until she realizes the text was sent on her own cellphone. [24]

To help Lagoona with an unexpected parent-teacher conference, Frankie, Cleo, and Clawdeen dress up Slo Mo as Lagoona's aunt Lantic so he can figure out what the conference is about. [25]

TV specials[]

Frankie narrates her first week of classes at Monster High, being that she's only 15 days old as she starts classes there.

Monday, she tries to make a good first impression on the other students, but fears she will stay a loner during her time there, since none of the students pay much attention to her when she introduces herself, leaving her a little embarrassed. One student even is heard calling her a "newbie" since she is a new student.

Tuesday, she attends mathematics class with Mr. Lou Zarr, and meets Cleo De Nile, Ghoulia Yelps, and Draculaura. She also gets a friendly hello from Deuce Gorgon. Later on, she meets Clawdeen after she saves Frankie and Draculaura from a zombie flesh mob.

Wednesday, Frankie tries her luck to join one of the school clubs, but all her efforts fall flat with little success in any of her attempts. She does not even study the rules of chess for Chess Club, leaving her opponent to point out her mistake when she thinks she's won, electrocutes the Swim Team once she gets in the pool, and ruins Cleo's hair when she hands Cleo a pencil to sign Frankie's petition that Frankie had no idea what it was she was accepting signatures for until Cleo told her. Joining the Fear Squad as her last chance, Frankie's horrified to see that Cleo is the Captain of the Fearleaders, and her attempts to repeat Cleo's performance causes her foot to come loose and land in Ghoulia's drink, splashing Cleo, and causing her to emit a scream loud enough to shatter glass. Devastated and embarrassed, Frankie flees to the pool, where she is comforted by Lagoona, who offers some friendly advice about just being yourself. Later on, Clawdeen and Draculaura tell Frankie that Cleo wishes to interview her for the Fear Squad tomorrow morning. Frankie completely forgets Lagoona's advice upon hearing that and leaves with Clawdeen and Draculaura, not noticing Lagoona watching with disappointment at Frankie attempting to get into the Fear Squad without taking her advice to heart.

Thursday, Frankie meets up with Cleo in the cafeteria for the interview, and despite Cleo's rapid-fire questioning, when Frankie mentions Justin Biter as her favorite singer, it looks like she and Cleo are on good terms now, only for things to go up in flames when Frankie names Deuce as her boyfriend, enraging Cleo at the thought that Deuce was cheating on her. Frankie flees to the pool, but not even Lagoona is on her side now after seeing that Frankie completely abandoned her advice. Cleo is there as well, and orders Frankie out of her life, never wanting to see her again.

Friday, with how the week went, Frankie makes it clear she needs to make amends with everyone she's met at Monster High. She first apologizes to Draculaura and Clawdeen, and asks for their help with making amends with Cleo. She then explains everything to Deuce, and together, they meet Cleo outside the gymnasium. Frankie explains everything, repairing Cleo and Deuce's relationship, but Cleo is still unforgiving to Frankie for what happened. Frankie then reveals she was able to get Justin Biter to perform a special concert at Monster High to repay a favor he owed the Steins. Thanks to that, Cleo forgives Frankie and accepts her into the Fear Squad, but on probation.

Frankie is fine with that since her first week of Monster High ended with her making several friends that will be at her side from here on out. [26]

Scream Building - demoting anger

Frankie is still on probation and undeniably the weak link of the Fear Squad. Nonetheless, she is the only member of the team not to desert in protest of Cleo's leadership. Being the only one left, Frankie asks to be taken off probation, which lasts only until she spills a drink on Cleo in her enthusiasm. [27]

With the Fear Squad try-outs a failure, Frankie decides to recruit on her own. Most people she approaches run away, so she tries her friends. With a bit of manipulation, Clawdeen and Draculaura join the Fear Squad. [28]

Fear-A-Mid Power - first pyramid attempt

Cleo is unhappy with the new Fear Squad's performance yet and orders them to attend every school event for the time being to gain experience. All of their cheers have disastrous consequences for the school's performance, but they keep trying. [29]

Good-natured as always, Frankie tries to pep her teammates for the Spirit Rally, but doesn't have much success. [30]

Frankie tries to keep the Fear Squad's spirits high and comes up with various theories as to why Cleo is not with them. The Fear Squad performs the cheer without her, but blunders at the end. Fortunately, their failure is forgotten about as soon as it is time to dance. [31]

Gloomsday - military discipline

Denied for Gloom Beach, Frankie informs the team they still have a chance if they go for the wildcard arrangement: create a fearleading video and get it a million hits on FrightTube in two days. Though the odds are low, the Fear Squad imediately gets to work. [32]

The Fear Squad's video has barely gotten any hits, so the team tries to promote it. With Ghoulia's help, they manage to lure in a big audience and reach 999,999 hits. However, FrightTube chooses that moment to crash. [33]

The Fear Squad anxiously looks on as Ghoulia tries to do something about the crash. Despite her best efforts, the clock strikes 3:00 PM before she succeeds. Cleo tearfully thanks her friends for all they've done, but the mood is promptly improved when Deuce delivers the news that FrightTube crashed because of all the traffic to their video. Rather than a million hits, they've got twn million hits. Their Gloom Beach invitation follows soon after. [34]

During the ride to Gloom Beach, Frankie has a dream of becoming the captain of the Fear Squad. She awakes when the bus arrives, only to find that the Fear Squad will be staying in a decrepit cottage. [35]

When Scary Murphy hands the Fear Squad a list of chores to do, Frankie reluctantly and skeptically goes through them. [36]

After finishing the chores, the Fear Squad relaxes at the beach while Cleo and Ghoulia work out a routine. The Fear Squad gathers at dusk to memorize the routine but they are watched by the werecats. Toralei later steals Frankie's recording of the routine and hands it to the Smogsnorts team. [37]

It is discovered only at the competition that the werecats stole the Fear Squad's routine and gave it to Smogsnorts. Cleo uses the movements from the chores Scary Murphy had them do to improvise a new routine, which wins them the spirit staff. [38]

Frankie and the rest of the Fear Squad have become a target of revenge for the werecats. First they are splashed with water just as a fearbook photo is supposed to be made, and then Cleo is tricked into agreeing to stay at Monster High on the night of Friday the 13th. [39]

Frankie joins Cleo in spending the night of Friday the 13th at Monster High. They encounter a monster roaming through the school, but it turns out to only seek people to celebrate its birthday with. [40]

During lunch, the topic moves to relationships and Frankie lies she has a boyfriend. Her Frankie want to meet him, so Frankie brings a life-sized voodoo doll to school the next day that she thinks she failed to bring alive. Weirded out, her friends assure her she does not need a boyfriend to fit in. Frankie happily puts the doll with the trash, only to discover he is alive. [41]

Frankie rushes to Draculaura's aid when she faints at the sight of a steak. She gets her to the bathroom for recovery, where Clawdeen later enters to apologize to Draculaura for the steak. [42]

Frankie runs all across school to get everyone's signatures for her fearbook copy. She is with Draculaura when Toralei hands her a paper she supposedly dropped, which contains a recipe for stinkbombs, just as Mr. Rotter walks by and overhears. [43]

Ghoulia has discovered that the werecats are behind the odd events of the day. Her friends thus confront the trio and learn that they plan to pin the blame of a stinkbomb on the Fear Squad so that they'll get expelled. The group rushes out and collects the bomb before it drops. [44]

Shortly after, Jackson is interrupted in clearing out his locker by Manny Taur, who bullies him. He is stopped by Frankie, who threatens to tell Manny's sister, Minnie, what he's been doing and then shocks him with a bolt of electricity. Jackson thanks her and the two introduce themselves, both taking an interest in the other.

The announcement spreads quickly and Cleo's immediate group of friends arrives early that evening to help set things up. It isn't until a couple of hours later, when the party is already in full swing, that the girls realize that Cleo and Ghoulia aren't present. Draculaura explains that Cleo is probably buying a new iCoffin because her old one broke, making the girls realize that the party announcement did not come from Cleo and that therefore they broke in. They are just discussing how to end the party when Cleo and Ghoulia arrive. Against expectations, Cleo thinks her friends threw a party for her and is ecstatic. [45]

The party at the de Nile residence is going strong, much to the delight of Cleo. Clawd is locked in a pizza-eating competition with a hydra. He wins, but rather than congratulate him, Draculaura refuses his company and runs away. Elsewhere, Slo Mo prevents Heath's attempt at music by destroying his guitar. Both events are witnessed and reported on by Spectra Vondergeist on the Ghostly Gossip.

Clawdeen goes to chat with Lagoona and asks her if Gil is enjoying his summer vacation. Lagoona replies that he isn't returning any of her messages and that she fears it has to do with his parents' wrath. As Clawdeen attempts to reassure Lagoona that Gil likely is just busy right now, elsewhere, Frankie Stein is upset because Jackson hasn't yet arrived. His cousin, Heath, doesn't know where he is either, but suggests that humans simply can't be trusted.

Jackson, unbeknownst to anyone else, is outside trying to talk himself into joining the party. When he's finally ready, however, the doors of the De Nile residence swing open and the loud music gets to him. Minutes later, Jackson still is nowhere to be seen, but the party is livened up by the arrival of a DJ by the name of Holt Hyde. He openly flirts with Frankie, who enjoys the attention greatly after feeling stood up. Meanwhile, Clawd finds Draculaura and promises he'll improve his table manners for her. Draculaura merely laughs and explains that that isn't what she wants from him - the problem is that the pizzas had garlic topping on them. All he has to do is brush his teeth and they can dance.

As Clawd runs off in search for a sink happily, Draculaura and her friends meet up and talk about how the party is getting out of hand. Cleo is confident that all is fine, as no one present would ever tell her father about the party, but then Nefera appears in the doorway. She threatens to tell their father if Cleo doesn't do exactly what she tells her to and promises Cleo that this is going to be the worst summer of her life. [46]

[47]

Frankie, Draculaura, and Clawdeen gather at the Coffin Bean after a morning of back-to-school shopping, showing off all of the new clothes and accessories that they've bought ready for the new school year. Cleo arrives with several shopping bags, but when the others applaud her for her shopping expertise, she admits that it is actually all for her sister Nefera, who has had her running errands since the beginning of summer.

Nefera then arrives and demands that the other girls give her their shopping too, otherwise she will tell her father about the party that Cleo hosted at the end of the school year. She then says that she is late for her salon appointment, and that she will come back for it later.

The girls then notice that Toralei, Purrsephone, and Meowlody are back from the Trigular Calculometry Summer Math Camp, and Clawdeen overhears them saying that Nefera is always wearing the newest trends, so they want to follow her and copy her look. The girls then get the idea of finding a new 'style' to show to Nefera.

Cleo attaches plungers to her heels, Clawdeen wears toiletpaper holders as earrings, Lagoona wears a garbage can as a dress, Frankie wears a bee hive on her head and Draculaura uses roadkill as a purse. Nefera returns and says that they look ridiculous, but they tell her that they are brand new fashion statements, and surely Nefera must have heard about them, since she's a famous model.

Nefera is embarrassed about her apparent lack of knowledge of the new 'top fashion', and demands that the girls hand them over to her. She then dresses in her new 'outfit', becoming the laughing stock of the Maul as passers-by take pictures on their iCoffins.

Draculaura says that Nefera will never be able to show her face at the Maul again, to which Cleo replies that it is the best day of her life. Just then, Frankie points out that Toralei and her friends have indeed copied Nefera's new look, to which the girls all laugh. [48]

The webisode opens with Abbey Bominable, the new student, walking down the hall, dropping snowflakes wherever she goes. Heath Burns attempts to flirt with her, but she "coldly" shrugs him off, freezing him solid in the process.

At their lockers, the ghouls discuss being back in school when another text from the Ghostly Gossip, showing a picture of a frozen Heath. When the first bell rings, Frankie questions where Lagoona is, which Cleo replies that she's probably with Gil, as the two haven't seen each other all summer.

Meanwhile, Toralei is assigned to an advanced math class by the guidance counselor, much to the joy of the Fear Squad. Clawdeen asks Toralei outside the counselor's office a very advanced maths question, which Toralei answers. The ghouls cannot help but laugh at her. As Toralei makes her exit, Lagoona walks out of the girl's bathroom, sobbing. She states that Gil's parents sent him to another school and runs off crying. Jackson comes out of the boys bathroom he nervously shrugs off Frankie's questions about Cleo's party, saying that he didn't go because he needed to "change" he then walks back into the boys bathroom leaving Frankie a bit confused, as she walks off, slightly disappointed, Spectra snaps a picture of her.

In first period, Toralei demands that Abbey move from her spot, which Abbey blatantly refuses calling Toralei "mean girl with sandpaper tongue" causing Toralei to hatch yet another scheme. She grabs some of the snow surrounding Abbey and throws it at Frankie, who assumes it was Abbey throwing it. She retaliates, getting both of them sent to the principal's office and starting a feud with Abbey.

As they walk to the principal's office Frankie says "I can't believe this! I've never been in trouble before! Aren't you worried?" to which Abbey replies "You threw snowball first. Principal will bring hammer down on you." Frankie tries to tell her that it was just a misunderstanding, but Abbey doesn't listen. She tells Frankie that she understands perfectly, and if she wants a war, she'll get a war. [49]

The Headless Headmistress Bloodgood tells Abbey and Frankie that as a punishment for their snowball fight they must wear magical bracelets all day that will stop them from being more than three feet away from each other, so that they can get to know and accept each other better.

After leaving Bloodgood's office, Frankie asks Abbey why she started the snowball fight, and Abbey replies that she didn't. Both girls think that the other is lying. Frankie continues to talk to Abbey and ask her questions but Abbey is not interested and tells Frankie that small talk is pointless, to which Frankie calls her rude. Abbey is confused and upset by this as she thought that she was helping Frankie to save oxygen, seeing as she is originally from a Himalayan mountain and therefore breathing is more difficult in the thin air.

Abbey becomes determined to make Frankie like her, but her attempts fail. First, Abbey tries to show Frankie a shortcut to class, but doesn't explain where she is going to Frankie, meaning that she is difficult to keep up and has her arm torn off by the magical bracelet. Later, Abbey freezes a drink that Frankie got from a school vending machine, thinking that she would enjoy it since that is how the drink was on the mountain. However, Frankie is not impressed and says that her drink is ruined.

Heath Burns then appears, calling Abbey "Baby" again before quickly correcting himself and introducing himself to her. He then kneels down and takes her hand, which he exclaims is cold, before stating "But I know how to warm your heart" and kissing Abbey's hand. His lips then freeze, fall off and shatters to the floor and he shuffles away, exclaiming "Glacial Facial". Abbey says that Heath is like a "hailstone that thinks it is iceberg", which confuses Frankie.

Manny Taur then comes charging through the corridor chasing after a small red devil-like student, saying that he hates the color red. The devil hides behind Frankie, and she holds out her arms to try and block Manny. As he gets closer, however, Abbey grabs hold of Manny and effortlessly tosses him over her shoulder, telling him that horseplay is not allowed in school, and that the rule also applies to bulls, before throwing him into the wall. Frankie thanks Abbey for saving her, and Abbey tells her "Do not mention it", before the two leave together. [50]

Frankie and Abbey's bracelets are still keeping them together, and they're no better friends than before. They go to lunch, and Frankie doesn't want her friends to meet Abbey. She criticizes Clawdeen, Draculaura, and Cleo, and Cleo tells them about Lagoona's swim meet that will be taking place at 2 o'clock. However, since Frankie and Abbey's bracelets require that they stay together until 3, Cleo tells them not to come, since Lagoona needs "all the support she can get".

Later, Frankie confronts Abbey about the snowball, again asking why she threw it. Abbey, however, believes that Frankie and her friends dislike her, so she is seen crying. Frankie asks why, since she admitted she thought Abbey didn't have emotions. Abbey refuses to answer, saying she needs to go to the bathroom. Due to the bracelets, Frankie ends up following her.

Frankie and Abbey both go into stalls, and they see Toralei and her gang come into the bathroom. Toralei says that she couldn't believe that Frankie and Abbey were unaware that she started the snowball fight. Frankie and Abbey plot revenge when they hear that they're planning to throw the rest of the Fear Squad in the pool. After Lagoona's swim meet, with the Fear Squad there to congratulate her, Toralei and her friends are just about to push them in, only to slip when Abbey freezes some water on the ground, causing them to slip and grab a lamp to avoid the water in the pool. The bracelets then come off, and Frankie invites Abbey to come with her and her friends to the Coffin Bean at the maul. Abbey says she would love to go with the ghouls. Frankie leans in to hug Abbey but gets frozen solid and the episode ends with the Fear Squad laughing. [51]

Frankie, Cleo, Clawdeen, and Draculaura are at the Coffin Bean talking about a party last night. Draculaura informs the ghouls they didn't miss anything because the Ghostly Gossip was there. Also the party was DJ-ed by Holt Hyde. The ghouls then tease Frankie a little about her crush on Holt. Draculaura notices that Jackson is at the Maul and the ghouls urge Frankie to "shock some sense into him" about standing her up at Cleo's party. Jackson tells Frankie that he remembered he was going to the party and he was outside and got nervous because Frankie was there and then he blacked out. Frankie then tells about the party and about Holt and asks if he knew him which he says no (and Heath gets super hyper about it). Jackson then asks Frankie for another chance and asks her out on a date to a silent movie at the Revival House. She says yes and the ghouls plan to accompany her on her 1st ever date. At the movie, everyone else besides Frankie and Jackson are bored out of their minds. Clawd then decides to play some music which everyone dances to. Jackson is seen shivering and apologizes to Frankie then leaves. Frankie is hurt once again to be stood up by him again. Draculaura then tells her "what do you expect from a normie" and Frankie says that she thought Jackson was different. Holt then comes in and sits next to Frankie and flirts with her. Frankie, not in the mood, tells him that she's on a date to which he replies with himself. Frankie then leaves and is outside looking for Jackson. Holt is seen getting kicked out the theater and steps into a puddle saying "Not cool!". Holt then transforms back into Jackson and he sees Frankie looking for him. He hides behind the dumpster questioning what is happening to him. [52]

Frankie notices Jackson in the hallway, but she is blown off yet again, leaving her confused and slightly hurt. Then Toralei shows her a text from the Ghostly Gossip stating that she was dating two boys at once (Jackson and Holt), and that there was the possibility of a third. This leads her to accuse Draculaura as being the Ghostly Gossip, which turns into a fight between the ghouls until Lagoona shows up and tells them that the Ghostly Gossip is the one tearing them apart.

They hatch an idea to leave their diaries on the ground, and the one that remains untouched is the traitor's. As they turn around, Spectra floats in from under the ground and attempts to snap a few photos before Lagoona and Ghoulia, who had been hiding in the bleachers, point her out. The girls question her motives, but Spectra explains that she wasn't ever trying to hurt them.

She says that she idolizes them, and writing stories about them was her way of showing it. She wanted to let others live their lives through their exploits, and because she only heard half of what they said, it was up to her artistic side to make up the rest. Frankie says that she could've just asked them, to which Spectra replies that she was much too shy for that. They decide to be Spectra's friend but just as long as she didn't write anything about them anymore.

As Frankie shrugs off the rumor of her dating three boys and not even having one, a heartbroken Hoodude appears and beats on his chest, hurting many other male students in the process behind him. [53]

Cleo decides to follow Operetta down to the catacombs to catch the two of them together. When the ghouls go into the catacombs, they find Deuce standing in front of a dragon statue. The other ghouls hide while Cleo surprises him. When confronted with Cleo’s suspicions, Deuce tells her the reason for his odd behavior.

The dragon statue was his pet dragon named Smokey. When Deuce was just a boy, Smokey knocked off his glasses while trying to play with him, and Deuce accidentally turned him to stone. Deuce didn’t have control of his powers at that young age, so instead of lasting for just a day the effect is supposed to wear off on the anniversary of when it happened. But Deuce doesn’t know which anniversary, so he comes to visit Smokey in the catacombs every anniversary hoping to find his pet back to normal again.

Frankie, Lagoona, Draculaura and Clawdeen are brought to tears by Deuce’s story

The rubber ball was Smokey’s toy, and when Cleo asks about the flowers, Deuce explains that the flowers were snapdragons, Smokey’s favorite treat. He apologizes for the way he’s been acting, and Cleo accepts the apology. Frankie suggests that she apologize to Operetta too, but Cleo refuses saying that she doesn’t trust her.

Unbeknownst to her, Operetta has been listening the whole time. [54]

Frankie meets Holt outside the school. Frankie is initially put off by his attitude, but Holt quickly apologizes for being too forward when the first met. They start to talk and begin to find common ground. Then when Holt starts to flirt with Frankie, it cheers her up after feeling down about Jackson. [55]

Frankie Stein goes on a date with Holt Hyde and in the end finds he's more than meets the eye. Draculaura thinks Frankie Stein has a crush, but Frankie Stein denies it. Jackson Jekyll then shows up, who had been clear from her mind during all of this, and she is surprised that she forgot all about him and the fact that she was crushing on to two boys. Before she can dwell on this, Clawdeen Wolf shows up hyped about two zombie boys, Slo Mo and Don of the Dead fighting over Ghoulia Yelps. Frankie Stein soon realizes that the same thing might happen between Holt Hyde and Jackson Jekyll over her.

After consulting Teen Scream, she gets the advice to ask her friends, which turns disastrous. Lagoona Blue breaks out in tears over Gil; Clawdeen Wolf and Draculaura completely ignore her while favoring a conversation about when Clawd Wolf can go out with Draculaura, and Cleo de Nile is too preoccupied spying on Deuce Gorgon and Operetta, in which she finds "evidence" that Deuce Gorgon was legitimately cheating on her.

After this, Frankie Stein realizes just how complicated romantic relationships are, and realizing that dealing with just one boy is hard enough she decides that she has to make a choice: Holt Hyde or Jackson Jekyll. [56]

After a good time with Holt in the last webisode, Frankie tries to convince herself to break up with Jackson, but then she sees him in the hallway and is reminded of the fun she had with him. Frankie's imagination runs wild when she creates to smaller versions of the boys she likes, who fight over her love. Before going to the restroom, Frankie said that she needs to clear her mind.

Cleo de Nile is trying to find Deuce Gorgon so she can break up with him. After the dialogue between Cleo de Nile and Deuce Gorgon, the relationship between them was almost over, when Operetta and Memphis "Daddy O" Longlegs save the relationship by stopping Cleo so she can hear the song Deuce made for her. When Cleo finally understood what was going on, she was touched by Deuce's song and apologizes to him and Operetta.

Frankie and Jackson walk into the same hallway Cleo was in, but then after hearing the music, Jackson transforms into Holt, and Frankie was shocked with what she saw. [57]

As Jackson wakes up, confused yet again, Frankie shows him a video of Holt, revealing to him that they are the same person. Jackson gets really fired up, saying that Holt is everything that he hates and that he can't even confront him about it. This prompts to Frankie come up with a way that he can talk with Holt: She will act as a messenger between the two. But she doesn't realize just how much they have to say to each other. After listening to them bicker for a while, Frankie decides that she can't choose one over the other, reasoning that they are the same person deep inside. She hands them an their iCoffin to continue the conversation without her, opting to take a break until they can sort things out.

More trouble is stirred when Headless Headmistress Bloodgood calls for an emergency fearleading meeting. In honour of making Monster Mashionals, she and the school board selected a new coach for the team, which is revealed to be none other than Nefera de Nile. [58]

After finished praising Nefera de Nile, Headless Headmistress Bloodgood rides away, leaving the ghouls in frustration, especially Cleo de Nile. But when Clawdeen expresses confusion as to why Nefera would "waste her time with a bunch of high school ghouls" when she has a big career as a fashion model, Ghoulia finds some incriminating articles revealing that Nefera was kicked out of Fashion Week because of her "monstrous" attitude, effectively ending her career in the fashion industry (for now at least).

Even still, Headless Headmistress Bloodgood says that they must do what Nefera de Nile says to win Monster Mashionals, which doesn't end well at all. Nefera de Nile presents several terrible routines, and then after delivering a speech about how she could never lead them...replaces the squad with Toralei Stripe and the were-cat twins, Purrsephone and Meowlody. [59]

When Nefera fires the Fearleading Team and replaces them with Toralei and the werecat twins. Cleo, Clawdeen, and Draculaura decides to give up. Frankie says that she will never give up. She goes down to the Trophy Case and see a Trophy they won for a routine about never giving up. This inpires her to try and convice the other to go back on the Fearleading Squad.

Frankie convinces Draculaura by showing that Clawd was sad about loosing a pratice game because of the new Fearleading Squad, when he is really not. Clawdeen says she is in only if Draculaura is in. Then they lure Cleo down by the Trophy Case, when Cleo says she is a failure. Frankie, still trying to convice Cleo, shows her the Spirit Staff they won at Gloom Beach. Cleo becomes so angry about winning the Spirit Staff and never even making to Monster Mashionals she throws the staff to the ground and it breaks.

Scary Murphy shows up and is disappointed that Cleo is giving up and tells her that the others rely on her. Then Scary Murphy says that she will even help them to make them be back Fearleading Team again. Cleo agrees and is willing to give it chance. [60]

When Nefera says that the B-team can't practice on school grounds, Operetta lets them preform in the catacombs in her theatre. After long and arduous training sessions under guidance of Scary Murphy and with musical backup from Operetta, they are ready for Monster Mashionals.

Both A-team and B-team of Monster High earn themself a place in the grand finale. However, shortly before the match, Nefera approches the B-team and shows them she has brought along a bag full of charms to turn the tide in her favor. This leaves Cleo convinced that she has no chance of winning against her older sister and the A-team. [61]

While the ghouls are performing, Nefera attempts her idols and charms, to which all are blocked by the ghoul's friends. The first sends a magic spell at the ghouls, but Abbey freezes it in mid-air. The second turns out the stage lights, only for Heath to provide light with his flames long enough for Ghoulia to turn the lights back on. The third summons a royal guard who throws a disk at the Fearleaders, but Clawd catches it before it reaches them. The fourth summons a shadow-like monster that flies toward the stage, but Operetta shatters the idol with her voice causing the monster to vanish.

Nefera is soon reduced to her very last one, which summons a large Scargoyle behind the ghouls. However, Toralei and the Werecat Twins show up and scare it off when they bare their fangs. Toralei (speaking for herself and the twins) admits that as much as they want to win, they'd rather not do it through cheating. The ghouls finish their performance without anymore interruptions and ultimately win Monster Mashionals.

Nefera shows her true colors when she snatches the trophy from the ghouls' hands and starts claiming how since she's the coach, she techincally won. But Ghoulia shows Scary Murphy a video of Nefera deploying her idols, to which Scary Murphy not only disqualifies Nefera for cheating, but also has her stripped of all her previous fearleading awards. As the ghouls are lifted up by their friends, Cleo and Toralei (and her werecats) flash a friendly smile at each other. [62]

Nefera appears from the doorway and casually ridicules Cleo's fashion sense. This hits Cleo deeply, and in her anger she insults Clawdeen's choice of new lip gloss. Clawdeen in turn lashes out at Draculaura by claiming her look is outdated, and Draculaura subsequently calls Frankie nosy when the latter asks if she's okay. Ghoulia witnesses all of these and many more fights between girls break loose as a chain reaction of negative feelings. When her friends finally gather in the creepateria yet still won't stop fighting, Ghoulia requests help from the Kind Campaign founders.

The duo gathers all the girls at Monster High in the auditorium and presents them with two questions: 1.) Have they ever been treated badly by someone else?; and 2.) Have they ever treated someone else badly? Everyone present, except Cleo, confesses to both, and the Kind Campaign founders make it a point that each of them has the ability to put an end to the negative feelings. They present the crowd with a special booth which they can enter one by one. Inside is a mirror to which they can confess their true feelings, after which each reflection comes alive for a moment to explain that harsh treatment always hurts but that they can choose not to hurt others. All take the message to heart.

Cleo is the last one to enter the booth, which she does reluctantly, and also the one who stays in longest. When she comes out, she breaks down at the sight of her friends and apologizes. Monster High is back to being a pleasant place, just like Ghoulia hoped it would be. Later that day even, she and Cleo come across Nefera again and rather than insult her back for the earlier remark, Cleo calls her a great older sister. Nefera is actually moved by this enough to act polite to the Kind Campaign founders in return. [63]

TV specials[]

Frankie, Draculaura, Clawdeen, Clawd, Lagoona, Ghoulia, and Cleo have an appointment at the Maul to go see TwiHard IV: Abs of Intrigue. While waiting, Ghoulia buys herself a smoothie, but Cleo takes it from her and drinks it herself. Draculaura is late because she and Clawd discovered a sale and Draculaura just had to buy some of the outfits and accessories. Amused, the group makes their way to the theatre where a long line has formed by then, mostly consisting of Belfry Prep vampires and Crescent Moon High werewolves. All of them react oddly on the sight of the group and Clawd theorizes it's because he, as a werewolf, and Draculaura, as a vampire, are friends. Frankie resolves to say something about it, ignoring Lagoona's and Clawdeen's protests. She loudly tells the vampires and werewolves present that Clawd and Draculaura are dating, causing even more muttering, at which point Lagoona finally gets to say she thinks the initial attention was because Draculaura has toilet paper stuck on her boot. The theatre opens and the vampires and werewolves rush inside, trampling the Monster High students, who decide to catch a later show.

At school later on, the student body gets caught in the excitement of an announcement, for which they are asked to gather in the vampitheater. As the students speculate about the nature of the announcement, Draculaura and Clawdeen spot Howleen, Clawdeen's younger sister, looking for a place to sit. Clawdeen invites her over, but Howleen tells her she isn't going to sit with her big sister. Just then, Clawdeen notices that Howleen is using her old backpack and gets angry that Howleen again has been stealing stuff from her. The situation is broken when Ms. Crabgrass shows up on stage and announces that Headless Headmistress Bloodgood will begin her speech. Bloodgood shows up a moment later and cuts straight to the case: Monster High will be merging with Belfry Prep and Crescent Moon High to share the spirit of acceptance with monsters so opposed to each other as part of an experiment that is to bring all monsters together and eventually monsters and humans. Crabgrass and the students are shocked, but no one opposes the decision. Bloodgood appoints the Fear Squad as the welcoming committee, something that only excites Frankie. Later, as the Fear Squad prepares with the help of Ghoulia, Lagoona, and Gil, Frankie is both made clear that everyone is pessimistic about their chances of making werewolves and vampires get along and made leader of the project, as she remains positive and enthusiastic about the matter nonetheless. The group promises to help her as well as they can, including Abbey, who comes in to return Frankie's right arm after she threw it through the window by accident.

The next day, the Fear Squad welcomes the new students and all goes as disastrous as predicted. Cleo finds that the Belfry Prep student body doesn't respect her like the Monster High student body does, and the vampires and werewolves nearly get into a fight with each other. Frankie tries to argue they don't have to, pointing out that Clawdeen and Draculaura are best friends, which only makes the situation worse.

They come up with a party at the cemetery—neutral ground—to get all groups to socialize.

The party initially is a disaster, as everyone is afraid to be the first to make contact and dance. On Frankie's urging, Clawd and Draculaura go first, and Abbey forces several other couples together on the dance-floor. This eases the mood and more couples form and join in dance and games, making the party a success. All are happy, except Crabgrass, who calls her boss, Administrator Van Hellscream, to inform him there is a problem. The next day, Van Hellscream shows up in Bloodgood's office. Bloodgood is elated, knowing Van Hellscream as a monster expert and promoter of human-monster relations, but Nightmare is immediately wary of the human. And with good reason, as Van Hellscream is threatened by the idea of monsters getting along and potentially teaming up against humans. He and Crabgrass use Gorgon Powder on Bloodgood to turn her into a statue, while Crabgrass takes on the appearance of Bloodgood so as to manipulate the school from within. Nightmare, the only witness to the event, is chained within Bloodgood's office. Van Hellscream wastes no time in both gaining sympathy from the students and subtly making them distrustful and hateful of other monster types. The biggest victim of this is Howleen, whom due to Van Hellscream's scheming gets beat up in the bathroom by three older vampires. Since Howleen refuses to let Clawdeen stand up for her, Romulus advises Howleen to take matters into her own hand.

Frankie and Abbey decide to talk with Bloodgood about Van Hellscream's presence, but Bloodgood won't listen to them. Frankie, however, notices that Nightmare panics in her presence and realizes that the woman she spoke to is not Bloodgood. During the unveiling of a statue, Frankie and Lagoona notice Bloodgood drinking with her finger, and along with other evidence, Frankie realizes the woman is actually Crabgrass. As the students wonder where the real Bloodgood is then, the statue is unveiled... leaving no guess as to what has happened to Bloodgood. Frankie seeks out Deuce to ask if there's an antidote to being petrified, and Deuce answers he'll ask his mother. Meanwhile, Howleen gets revenge on the vampires by launching pieces of garlic into the hallway they claimed as their territory, but is caught doing so by Hackington. She is sent to Van Hellscream, whom she is mildly surprised to not find angry. When he calls her special and asks her to be the leader of a new cultural group, Were Pride, her shield drops completely and she accepts the job without question.

Deuce returns to Frankie with news that there is a powder which needs to be administered during the first new moon, but also that no one has seen it in a good century. Frankie realizes that the suspicious box she saw earlier in Bloodgood's office must contain the powder, and she enlists Abbey, Lagoona, and Spectra to help her get Van Hellscream and Bloodgood away from the office. With the unexpected help of Nightmare, they succeed in their mission. Meanwhile, Clawd forces Draculaura to break up with him, Howleen becomes the much-respected leader of Were Pride, and Gory and Bram try to get a distraught Draculaura to join Vampowerment. Van Hellscream is aware of all these events and brings them together to work to his advantage. He sets a trap for Frankie and Abbey to capture them and Bloodgood that night, while he sends Draculaura a text message that makes it seem like Clawd wants to talk to her that night at the statue of Bloodgood, and also while he sends Howleen a text message that the vampires are planning to carve "Vampowerment" in Bloodgood's statue that night. Through this, he captures all five in one move and takes them to a place deep inside the catacombs. He explains that he had Draculaura and Howleen captured so that the vampires and werewolves would accuse each other of harming their kin, and that he wants the experiment that is Monster High to fail so that the monsters can never join forces against the humans. By his plan, the werewolves and vampires will be fighting by the time the Skullastic Superintendents arrive and Monster High will be closed. With all that said, he leaves his captives as food for the giant tentacles in the pit underneath their cage.

Bloodgood and Frankie explain Van Hellscream's plan and why Monster High is such a threat to him. Realizing they've been manipulated for awful goals, the vampires and werewolves agree to peace and the entire student body gets together to quickly put up a party to leave a good impression with the Skullastic Superintendents. The plan succeeds, and after they've left, the students and Bloodgood confront and corner Van Hellscream and Crabgrass. Van Hellscream threatens to use one of his many potions and charms against the monsters, but Deuce beats him to it, petrifying both him and Crabgrass. Following this little interruption, the party continues. [64]

Lagoona and Frankie pull Ghoulia aside, arguing with her that she did the right thing to stand up for her pals but that there is no way the zombies are going to win. At that moment, Manny turns up the ventilation system as part of another insult to the zombies, which gives Ghoulia an idea.

When the match commences, Ghoulia's team is allowed the first throw and Ghoulia takes it, sending the ball bouncing on the floor away from Manny's team. Her opponenets laugh at first, but then Frankie turns up the ventilation system to maximum and Lagoona removes the seal of a pipe. The ball is sucked into the system, hauled upwards and then shot down onto Manny's team with great force. As per Ghoulia's calculations, every member of the opposing team gets knocked down by the ball, ensuring the zombies their victory and permanent captainship over dodgeskull at Monster High. [65]

Cleo has Frankie, Clawdeen, Draculaura, Ghoulia, and Abbey over for a slumber party. This is a new experience for Abbey, so the girls summarize all the activities they like to do at a sleepover. Cleo brings up her favorite party game: Gargoyles to Gargoyles, which draws a few weary looks from her older friends.

As the girls prepare for a game of Gargoyles to Gargoyles to please Cleo, she proudly warns Abbey that she is undefeated. What neither Cleo nor Abbey know, though, is that Cleo is undefeated because the other girls let her win, because Cleo is very competitive and they are afraid to offend her by winning. Draculaura, Clawdeen, and Frankie all create their own defeats to get the game over with, but Abbey puts up a challenge for Cleo. The girls take her aside for a moment to explain the situation, but Abbey does not agree with their choice for cowardice.

Back at the game, Cleo and Abbey are at each other's throats, but Abbey is too good or lucky for Cleo to beat. Abbey triumphantly knocks Cleo out of the game and the other girls cringe as Cleo seemingly bursts into anger. But instead, Cleo is actually delighted to lose, because she's been looking for a worthy competitor. She exclaims that they'll be playing all night and the other girls, understanding that they misjudged Cleo, happily join in. [66]

The girls prepare for a class trip to Monte Scarlo. As Frankie voices her enthusiasm, she suddenly sneezes. Mr. Rotter hears this and warns her that if she gets sick, she may not attend the class trip. Frankie tries to assure him and her friends she is fine, but her next sneeze causes three other students to get shocked by her electricity. Cleo warns the others to stay away from Frankie lest they get sick too, and become unable to go on the class trip. Clawdeen apologizes to Frankie for having to shut her out, but then she sneezes too, causing her fur to stand up. Next is Operetta, whose sneeze breaks Ghoulia's glasses as well as the windows, and causes several students to be blown out of the building. Finally, Cleo and Draculaura both sneeze at the time, causing them to be covered in heart-shaped pimples and pyramid-shaped pimples respectively.

As the girls try to think of something to be cured before the bus leaves, Gory mockingly tells of how much fun she'll be having at Monte Scarlo. Abbey warns the girls the bus will leave soon, but they tell her to leave them or else she might get sick too. Abbey informs them the people of her village rarely get sick. Meanwhile, Ghoulia figures out the cure they need is a "monster thistle," which Frankie knows grow in the catacombs. The girls ask Abbey to get it for them, to which she complies.

On the ground floor, Gory keeps teasing the girls and claims Abbey won't be back in time. However, Abbey does return in time and blows the monster thistle's pollen over her friends, who get well instantly. However, since Abbey is allergic to the pollen, the action causes her to sneeze and freeze Gory to the floor. The girls run off to catch the bus, leaving a distraught Gory to seemingly miss out on the trip. [67]

Her name is Spectra Vondergeist and she's one of the many fish swimming in a sea of trouble. She thought her shift would be easy, but easy's never around when a man is involved. Heath Burns, the local trouble on the double, stepped into her office that night, begging for help. It seemed that someone was trying to set him up and bring down the blame on him for something he had no part in.

The case was forehead-deep in mystery goop. One statue was taken from the hallways, with only a few scorch marks left to point at the perpetrator. Heath had been a smart kid to seek aid with Spectra and this was a case only her sixth sense for scoops could get to the bottom of. With long, lone years of experience, she went down the list of witnesses efficiently.

Finding many with a pale bone yet to pick with the burning bother, Spectra invited them all to the office of Headless Headmistress Bloodgood, the dame who would decide on Heath's fate. Her audience was reluctant, but Spectra was no quitter, but a deliverer. With a face cast in steel, she interrogated those present on their grudges against Heath, proving that each of them was just a likely to have done away with the statue.

Feeding the tension, Spectra waited for the bubble to burst when Bloodgood received a phone call. Something about statue cleaners, blowtorches and Monday. When the Headless Headmistress was ready to acknowledge the rest of the room again, she gave everyone permission to leave. Spectra left the room content, secure in the knowledge that justice always got the lion's share while she was around. [68]

Operetta joins Cleo, Frankie, and Draculaura at a table in the creepateria in a decidedly giddy mood. Upon inquiry, she shares that she won a contest to meet her favorite opera singer, Crescenda von Hammerstone. Cleo, slightly intrigued, asks how Operetta plans to present herself to the famous opera singer. A little confused, Operetta suggests she'll just be herself, but Cleo assures her that will only make her embarrass herself. She offers Operetta to come over to her house after school and receive private lessons in the art of etiquette, which Operetta takes her up on. [69]

Abbey is sitting alone on Monster High's front stairs, looking at the hills in the distance all forlorn, when she is spotted by Frankie and Draculaura. The two approach her and ask what's wrong, but Abbey denies that anything is wrong. As she's clearly lying, Frankie and Draculaura collect Ghoulia, Clawdeen, and Cleo to see if they can find out what is bothering Abbey.

At the library, Ghoulia finds a book detailing the customs of the village Abbey is from, which reveals that on that particular day the girls from Abbey's village begin a week of lone tribulations in the Himalaya Mountains. Because Monster High's Finals Week is also starting, Abbey can't participate in her village's challenge. The girls feel sorry for her, but Ghoulia creates a plan to help Abbey.

Later, Abbey meets Cleo and Clawdeen in front of the central clock and asks if they want help with Biteology. Cleo and Clawdeen simultaneously state they can't because they have to go to the Maul and the movies, then quickly depart. Even later, Abbey notices Frankie and Draculaura leaving Headless Headmistress Bloodgood's office and tries to get their attention, but they avoid her. Rejected, Abbey doesn't even notice Ghoulia sneaking away from her too.

Abbey makes her way to the creepateria, where, to her surprise, the girls are waiting for her. They reveal that they wanted to surprise her and open the freezer, explaining that they have arranged for Abbey to spend a week in there to at least feel like she's back home. Ghoulia even set up a webcam so she can still participate with Finals Week. Frankie (speaking for herself and the others) explains to Abbey that if something's bothering her, it's okay to tell them about it because, as her friends, they want to help her. Abbey's very touched by what Frankie and the others did for her and the other girls soon leave, since the freezer isn't suited for them. [70]

[71]

Frankie and Draculaura meet at the pool where Draculaura shows her the new necklace Clawd bought for her. Draculaura lets Frankie try her necklace on, but before Frankie can even put it around her neck, an electrical charge bolts the necklace to the Deep End (of the Monster High pool). Draculaura becomes frantic and won't even let Frankie consider going down to retrieve it. When Frankie so much as asks about the Deep End, a nearby boy launches himself outside a nearby closed glass window.

Lagoona overhears them and reveals that the Monster High pool is the deepest in the world, and that no one knows what lurks down there. Frankie still accepts the challenge despite Draculaura's frantic pleas to just let it be. Determined to make things right, Frankie dives into the pool complete with heavy scuba gear and Lagoona as her companion.

Inside the Deep End, they come across a monster which has been hoarding treasures, including Draculaura's necklace. Frankie bravely goes into its lair and shocks it, gaining not only the necklace but various other items lost by students, and the monster returns all the items that have been lost. [72]

Gory is campaigning to be elected for one function or another and is handing out flyers, many of which end up on the ground. Venus picks some of them up and puts them in the appropriate trashcan. She tries to convince Manny to be as considerate with his trash, but he considers it too much trouble. When she tries to encourage Heath to recycle, he refuses. Venus user her pollen persuasion powers to change his tune, but she understands he's only one among billions she needs to convince to take care of the environment.

While talking with a tree outside, Abbey and Frankie overhear and offer to help. The trio goes to see Cleo, because as the most popular girl at Monster High, her popularity allows her to influence the students in a way none of them can. Though Cleo wants to help, but thinks that associating herself with trash would sooner harm her popularity than boost the will to recycle in the other students. She elaborates they need to make recycling seem cool, to which Clawdeen suggests a fashion show.

The girls get to work recycling trash into fashionable dresses, and with the help of some friends they turn the creepateria into a fashion hall. Heath hosts the show, which easily sways the students' mindset on recycling. At the end of the show, the trash in the creepateria is all sorted in the appropriate trashcans, and Venus is happy. [73]

Frankie and the other ghouls receive detention from Mr. Rotter, but aren't given a reason why. Instead, Mr. Rotter interrogates them one by one, expecting them to confess something. Cleo goes first, which she confesses that she used an idol to cut in front of everyone in the lunch line, but it cursed her pizza, bringing it to life. That wasn't the confession he was hoping for.

Then, Frankie confesses about a perfume induced sneeze caused her to accidentally shock students in the hallway, but that wasn't what Mr. Rotter wanted to hear either. Lagoona admitted to her crime of passion due to the frogs almost being dissected, and Clawdeen admits that her brother ate her homework. Heath confesses to burning several items, and Draculaura's confession is so full of mixed information that Mr. Rotter, frustrated, dismisses her.

Finally giving in, he admits that he believes that one of them stole his glasses, but in reality, they were on his head the entire time. As he dismisses the students, he yells about someone stealing his pen, but Clawdeen points out it was still in his pocket. As Mr. Rotter sits down in the interrogation chair, the cursed pizza activates it and shocks him. [74]

At Monster High, Frankie and Jackson are working on a project. Frankie leads the project and enjoys it much more than seems appropriate. Once Jackson brings her the remaining ingredients, she tells him to put on his goggles and prepare himself for the most intense part of the project.

Frankie takes a syringe and savagely stabs it into the body of the project. Next, she pours two liquid concoctions over the body, making its gooey grown mass boil. Jackson steps towards a nearby machine and turns a wheel, which lowers a heating plate to a small distance above the project's body. Once it's baked properly, Frankie turns another wheel to make the body rise, but then disaster strikes as the action blows a fuse. With no time left, Frankie hooks herself up to provide the project with the energy it needs, which gets the job done.

Frankie informs Ms. Kindergrubber and her fellow students at Home Ick that her and Jackson's project for the finals is done. Jackson removes the blanket covering the project, and a live gingerbread boy stands up to bow for the audience along with his creators. The rest of the class is impressed, though some think that Frankie in particular took the assignment a little too seriously. Frankie doesn't listen and adds the last bits of icing on the gingerbread boy, whom she has to keep from eating his own, delicious hand. [75]

Meowlody trips Hoodude, which causes him to fall down the steps. Draculaura feels Hoodude's pain because of this. Next, Hoodude is made to ask Frankie for her spoon at lunch, at which point Purrsephone makes him slip on some water. Hoodude falls hard on his back, a fate that gets transferred to Frankie. The third victim is Clawdeen, whose notebook is borrowed by Hoodude. Toralei pushes him in the fountain, where he is attacked by tentacles, which Clawdeen ends up feeling the hits from. Fourthly, Lagoona's frisbee is borrowed, which Toralei in a pretend-game throws into a cactus field for Hoodude to catch. Needless to say, Lagoona felt the needles.

Lagoona goes to her friends and relays what happened to her and Frankie points out she had a similar experience. Draculaura questions why Toralei has been hanging out with Hoodude, and the ghouls get their answer when Toralei pushes in one of Hoodude's needles as he holds Cleo's Biteology book, causing her chest pain. Lagoona then gets an idea and, after giving Hoodude Toralei's bracelet, lets him practice off the high dive of the pool as a test for Swim Team membership. This causes Toralei to get splashed with water for the next three hours. [76]

At school, something has everyone talking and Frankie shows Jackson that someone vandalized the school with red paint. Jackson takes his paint-stained hands out of his pockets and explains that Holt must have done it. The two conclude that if Headless Headmistress Bloodgood finds out about this, Holt will be expelled and therefore Jackson too. And even aside from that, Frankie refuses to believe that Holt would just go and vandalize Monster High. They agree to uncover the truth of what happened, which is a mission not made any easier by the need to avoid Bloodgood at all cost. As it turns out, none of their fellow students have seen a thing, but the custodian, Mr. Ogrethor, has. He confirms that Holt was carrying paint out of the back of the school last night.

Jackson and Frankie Stein retreat back to the vandalized wall, wondering what they should do now that they have confirmation that Holt is fully responsible. Headless Headmistress Bloodgood shows up as they talk and tells Jackson she has to speak with him about Holt. Out of ideas, Jackson readies himself to accept the consequences of his counterpart's actions. However, it turns out that Holt was commissioned to paint a mural on the wall, but had to stop when Ogrethor, who can't stand loud noise, turned off his music, thus changing Holt back to Jackson. Bloodgood turns on a stereo to turn Jackson into Holt again so the latter can finish the mural, which ends up being a painting of Nightmare. [77]

Mr. Hackington showcases a powerful device of science to his class, but before he can show what the device does, he's called away by Headless Headmistress Bloodgood because of a dragon fire. Before leaving, Mr. Hackington says that he'll be back in five minutes and that if anyone touches the device, the whole class gets detention. Like always, Heath gets into trouble when he's bored, so he pokes around with the device until he turns it on, thereby shrinking the whole class.

Frankie tells everybody that Mr. Hackington is coming back to the class in four minutes and if he sees them like that, he is going to freak. Abbey says that there must be a reversal button on the machine, but Lagoona says it is too far to jump across. Heath thinks that he can fly the paper airplane, but the excitement gets to him and he burns the paper airplane. With one minute left Abbey uses a lab baster (with help from Clawd and Heath) and her ability, to make an ice bridge. Before they could use the device, a spider blocked their way, so Frankie had an idea where they would use Draculaura's fearleading skills to get to the ladder on the right setting.

Mr. Hackington returns and gives everybody detention. The ghouls are trying to find out how Mr. Hackington knows they played with the machine when the now-giant spider says that it wasn't him, thus revealing how Mr. Hackington found out their not-so-small secret. [78]

The ghouls go down to the catacombs to see the lab of Frankie's father when he used to attend in Monster High. On their way there, they bumped into Hoodude, who wants to tag along with them. The ghouls refused, but Frankie said that Hoodude was lonely and that she allowed him to come. Clawdeen shows the biggest refusal, saying that there's nothing but trouble everywhere he goes. After Hoodude promised not to touch anything, Frankie Stein convinced the ghouls by saying, "it's the nice thing to do."

After opening the door to Frankenstein's laboratory, Hoodude accidentally reveals a cage containing a small cat. Hoodude asked if it's dangerous, to which Clawdeen replied, "Yeah, dangerously cute!", finding no harm in it. She reaches in to pet it, but the cat suddenly roared, revealing it's massive mouth and rows of razor sharp teeth. Clawdeen tried to pull her arm out of the cage, but her jacket's caught on a nail. In a moment of bravery, Hoodude pushes her aside and is dragged in the cage himself, where he finds himself treated as a new chewtoy. Since Hoodude doesn't feel physical pain, no one was hurt except for Heath Burns, who feels the biting sensation a few floors above the ghouls.[79]

Clawdeen and Frankie get a text from Cleo, which says that there's a big emergency. When the duo opens the door to enter the school building, a mob of fleeing students runs outside. They go inside to investigate what could possibly be causing such terror, only to find that one of the classrooms is full of injured students. Cleo is taking care of Deuce's injuries and explains that Hoodude is having a bad day, to which Clawdeen responds that thus everyone is having a bad day. The three of them explore the hallways to find Hoodude, looking decidedly down, and Clawdeen tells Frankie that since she is Hoodude's creator, she has to fix him. Frankie retorts that she is not a mindreader, which reminds them all of someone who is: Scarah Screams.

Scarah is fetched, but because Hoodude's mind is not as coherent as most, she can't reach further than his sense of sadness and tells Clawdeen and Frankie they'll have to go inside Hoodude's mind. They enlist Ghoulia for this, who prepares a machine that'll get them inside Hoodude's head. Scarah gives them a quick tour before they reach the memory center, where they learn that Hoodude's sad because he tried to run for Student Disembodied President, but was made fun of by Heath Burns. Scarah explains that they need to boost his self-esteem and takes the others to Hoodude's emotion center, where she repairs the torn self-appreciation cable.

The trio returns to their own minds and find that Hoodude's depression is all gone. Hoodude thanks Scarah as he practically dances out of the laboratory. The girls watch him go, wondering if he really is better now. Hoodude runs into Heath in the hallway and tells him that he can't hurt him anymore. To make a point, Hoodude hugs himself, driving several needles on him deeper into his body, which is felt by Heath. As Hoodude kisses himself, oblivious to Heath's pain, Scarah suggests that they might need to make a few more tweaks. [80]

Cleo calls Clawdeen about a party at her house, to which Clawdeen Wolf calls Frankie, Frankie calls Lagoona and Lagoona calls Abbey. However, Clawdeen mentions that she can't get a hold of Draculaura and that she's more stressed than any of them about her finals, so she goes to her house only to find her sobbing. Clawdeen calls the other ghouls over and tries to comfort her, to which Draculaura reveals she has polka dots all over face, claiming she has 'polka-dot fever', which is caused by stress. The real problem, though, is that Draculaura is saddened that she's going to miss the party, but Clawdeen exclaims that if she's not going to make it then they weren't throwing it at all, to which everyone agrees except Cleo.

Draculaura disagrees and says to go on with the party without her, before breaking out in tears once more. Clawdeen then says her great-great grandwolf Harriet had an amazing home-remedy to cure polka-dot fever. The girls agree to try her cure, but it only works for a split second. Abbey tries to apply one of her village's century old cures, and again, its gone for a moment then comes directly back to her. Lagoona Blue puts frogs around her, but that doesn't even work at all. Finally, Cleo then tries to cure it by using one of her ancient powders, but predictably the dots only disappear for a second. As Draculaura walks away still depressed, Frankie's bolts spark and she exclaims she has an idea.

Outside Cleo's party, the ghouls have Draculaura blindfolded, and when it's removed Frankie says since they couldn't get the dots off they decided to make the party polka-dot themed. Overjoyed, Draculaura wipes away a tear as she says they're the best ghouls any vampire could ask for, and that her stress is gone. And at that moment, so were her dots. The webisode ends with all the ghouls dancing and having a good time at the party. [81]

Spectra floats through school, sadly mentioning that it is a slow news day and that she needs a new story, when she suddenly overhears Frankie on her phone saying she has tickets to a concert. Not refusing a gossip chance, Spectra reports the story, she says as she is speaking aloud before her laptop computer: "She gets to take her best friend", then while typing says: "Her choice to go with will reveal her BFF."

Once the gossip goes live, Cleo assumes it is her, but Clawdeen and Draculaura assume the same thing, following up with Ghoulia, Jackson, Lagoona, and Abbey. An argument starts between all of them, and they confront Frankie, all saying that they are her best friend and they should go to the concert with her.

Confused, Frankie states she's not her best friend, which they all groan sadly to, and Frankie then says she's taking her best friends. Thus ending the feud between all of them, the ghouls then confront Spectra, who admits she only heard half the story and, like always, forgot to hear the important facts, the infamous reporter of the Ghostly Gossip disappears through the wall. [83]

Frankie explains that every year the fear squad works at the Coffin Bean for free, with Clawdeen adding that all the proceeds go to a children's charity. Nefera brags that she still holds the record for the most money earned, but Cleo jumps in and says "until today." Draculaura, knowing what's going to happen, says, "Here we go."

The next scene shows Frankie and Cleo standing next to a device that Frankie explains will keep track of how much money they earn for the charity. It has a tag on it that shows Nefera's record, and Frankie says they need to get a little bit above her record, but Cleo says they should put their goal twice as high as Nefera's. Draculaura's then shown at the counter, getting excited about their first customers of the day, who are Lagoona, her boyfriend, Gil, and Ghoulia. Lagoona and Gil take their orders while Cleo and Frankie make the orders.

Later, Frankie says they've almost beaten Nefera's record, to which Cleo excitedly responds that her sister's record is going to be ancient history. With a line out the door showing a big chance of victory for Cleo, Nefera's shown spying on her sister's success until Toralei comes up to her. Toralei teases that Nefera's record is going to be broken, but then Nefera brings out an amulet that she calls, "Cleo's bad luck charm." Nefera activates the amulet and it does its job, causing much damage in the Coffin Bean, which ends up making the fear squad owe a bunch of money for the damages, and they're back to where they originally started.

Nefera then walks into the shop and says that her sister's attempt was an epic fail, laughing at their failure to break her record. Cleo then says it's over, and Lagoona asks her if she's really giving up. Frankie points out to Cleo and the others that to actually achieve Cleo's goal, they'd have to serve at least 500-customers within at least an hour––when Frankie laments that she herself doesn't even know 500-monsters, Lagoona assures her and the rest of the squad that together, they do. They all start texting their contacts, showing Spectra, Ghoulia, Slo Mo, and Clawd getting some of the texts.

The Coffin Bean is then shown again, full with customers and a line out the door. Nefera, not realizing what's going on first, sees what's happening now, and is angered by her sister's success. Draculaura's then shown giving orders to some of the customers, and then Nefera's shown again when a mob of zombies comes by towards the Coffin Bean. At first, Nefera tries preventing them from entering, but she gets trampled by them. Frankie goes to the device that's keeping track of all the money earned and excitedly shouts that they've actually exceeded way beyond Cleo's goal and made it way past the top of the device.

Everyone celebrates the fear squad's success. Nefera's then shown, the aftermath of getting trampled by the zombies, and Toralei walks up to her. Toralei then jokes that it seems that the amulet was actually her "bad luck charm" rather than Cleo's. Nefera accidentally drops the amulet and it breaks, and then Nefera's shown with a troubled expression, knowing what's going to happen now that the amulet's broken. [84]

The Dance of the Dead is next Friday and Draculaura, Abbey, Cleo, Clawdeen, and Frankie are full of excitement about it. During their conversation, it comes up that Abbey won't go to the dance because no boy asked her to be her date. The girls are flabbergasted, but before they can react properly, Heath approaches. He requests their attention, and specifically Abbey's, for a juggling act. He does well for about two seconds, after which he fails to catch all balls and two even land on his hand. Abbey's amused, but Draculaura sends him away. The girls suggest that Abbey tries speed dating to find herself a date for the dance, to which Abbey agrees.

The girls arrange everything for Abbey, and soon a long line of boys has formed for a chance to be her date. Cleo spots Heath in the line and gets the others to remove him, as none of them believe that he is not trying to pull a prank. Abbey, meanwhile, is rejecting one candidate after the other. With the line growing smaller, Heath returns and burns the clothes of the last candidate, which has him running off to extinguish the flames and the others distracted. Heath sneaks past to Abbey. He has just enough time to ask her to pick him before Abbey's friends send him away. Dejectedly, Heath makes his way to the door but trips, making Abbey laugh. As such, she accepts him as her date.[85]

[86]

Eventually, Ghoulia gives up and sits down. At that moment, she is approached by Cleo, Clawdeen, and Draculaura, who then learn of the theft and resolve to get the scooter back for Ghoulia. They chase after Toralei until she enters the catacombs, which is zombie territory. Thinking quickly, Ghoulia gives Slo Mo a call to mobilize the zombies and corner Toralei, which they easily accomplish. Upon accusation of theft, Toralei claims she had only taken the scooter to wash it for Ghoulia. Ghoulia takes her up on that explanation and under careful watch by the zombies, Toralei is forced to clean the scooter. Cleo even hands Toralei the werecat's own toothbrush to get to the hard-to-reach spots. [87]

Rochelle catches Frankie, Jackson, and Lagoona reviving a dead creature. She tells them that it is not allowed. Frankie, Jackson and Lagoona beg Rochelle to let it slide, but Rochelle rejects the request. She hands them the passes and warns them not to commit such an act again. Rochelle is alone in the hallway later on and admits that it does not feel good to be giving passes to her friends and believes that the job of a safety officer is probably not the job for her.

She returns to the Headmistress's office and is about to return the badge, when suddenly, the ghouls yell, "Surprise!" and yellow balloons fall. The headmistress congratulates Rochelle on passing her test and she promotes her to the head of her new safety team, which consists of Heath, Manny, and Slo Mo. Heath announces, "Deputy Burns, reporting for duty!". His hair ignites when he tries to salute, thus causing his sleeve to catch fire. Manny then grabs a book and tries to put out the fire. Rochelle, shocked, questions how she'll protect the school from the safety team. [88]

Cleo is stoked about the arrival of the Fall collection of Sasquatchy & Cadaver in the Maul tomorrow, and has invited Clawdeen, Draculaura, and Frankie to plan a strategy to be the first in line at the sale. Cleo enthusiastically explains the plan at the Coffin Bean, which distracts all four of them from time passing and the Maul closing. When finally Cleo is done with her explanation, the group realizes they are locked in. They consider calling Ghoulia and asking her to hack the system so they can go home, but Cleo suggests they spend the night instead to ensure they are first in line. Partial motivation to this is the crowd of zombies standing in front of the Maul who also wish to to get in on the sale.

Following minor provocation from Cleo, Slo Mo calls Ghoulia to open the doors for him and his friends. As Cleo's group is gone to get popcorn, the zombies swarm in and form a line well before the girls return. Cleo does not take defeat well, though, and grabs the store sign, as the line starts where the sign is. She runs off with it, joined by her friends and followed by a number of zombies until she's back at the Sasquatchy & Cadaver store when the Maul opens.

Slo Mo, who didn't follow the sign, is dedicated to guarding the store's doors, demanding he be the first customer as he wants a gift for Ghoulia. Cleo is neither moved nor willing to accept to be second in line. She takes out one of her family's artifacts and explains that she will teleport Slo Mo away with it, but accidentally uses it on herself. She reappears at the back of the line, screaming as she realizes she's last.[89]

Cleo, Lagoona, Frankie, and Clawdeen sit at a lunch table when Cleo asks if anyone saw Brain Dead Beach the previous night, and Clawdeen replies she was howling about it. Then, Draculaura comes running and screams, "Cooties!" in which she warns the ghouls that one of the students has cooties.

Cleo, Lagoona, and Clawdeen freak out and follow Draculaura, saying they gotta get out of there. They exit the cafeteria and into the hallways. Frankie tells them to wait and says even she knows cooties don't exist. Draculaura then says they are real, and Cleo backs her up, saying nobody would go near her to make sure they don't catch it themselves.

Clawdeen then explains that if she does, then she has to pass them on to someone else before she becomes an outcast. Frankie then makes a comeback by saying it's a myth they use to scare little kids. Lagoona then comments that they are real and they're scary. Some of the backgrounders are then shown running away, and Simon Clops has it. He then passes them onto Invisi Billy, who turns invisible and passes them off to Gory. Everyone backs away from her, but then Howleen and Romulus are walking out of the catacombs, talking, unaware of what was going on. Gory, taking the chance, turns into a bat and passes them on to Howleen, who passes them on to Romulus. Romulus then gets upset at her and calls Howleen a traitor to her own pack for giving him cooties.

Romulus then sniffs out Jackson, who attempts to run away as soon as he notices Romulus, but then gets caught and the cooties are passed onto him. Jackson then complains that now not only he is a normie, but he also has cooties. Jackson then continues walking, but slips on a book and slides all the way over to Cleo. Cleo now ends up getting the cooties herself, and Jackson falls back on the floor. Draculaura backs away, and Cleo asks Clawdeen to give her the cooties, but Clawdeen suggests Toralei as she and her friends are walking down the staircase because she has been nothing but mean to them.

Cleo, remembering that, grabs her teleportation amulet and she transports to Toralei. She gives Toralei the cooties and teleports away. Purrsephone and Meowlody back away from Toralei, and Toralei remarking they are supposed to be her best friends and gets sad. Frankie then says for everyone to stop and walks over to Toralei. Cleo tells Frankie to not do it, but Frankie says they may be real, but that doesn't mean they have to play along. Frankie asks Toralei to give them to her, and Toralei gives them to her without questioning.

Frankie then says that if they want to banish her, then go ahead. Lagoona then realizes and agrees with Frankie that it doesn't matter if she has cooties, she's still herself. Clawdeen follows Lagoona's action and says she's still her friend. Cleo then agrees, and Frankie then begins sparking and the cooties get annoyed with her electric power, causing them to leave, and everyone rejoices over the cooties leaving the building. [90]

All the guys and ghouls of Monster high are frightfully ready for a night of celebration, everybody seems to have a plan for the new year. Everyone except Frankie.

Frankie is sitting on her own worrying about her non-existent plans when suddenly her bolts go slightly array with only four seconds left till midnight and she freezes everybody in time. Getting up she sees Heath entering the room apparently exiting the bathroom and asks Frankie "What is going on?" Frankie immediately tells Heath not to touch anything and Heath falls into two pots, ending up with one on his head and the other on his right hand.

Frankie then walks over to her friends marveling that they are so excited for the upcoming year. She wishes that she was too and sparks on Clawdeen who bursts into life and claims how excited she is about launching her own clothing line and quickly falls back into submission. Frankie then zaps Cleo who announces 'her word of 2013' then finally Frankie moves onto Ghoulia who moans and Frankie translates "Of course you're gonna cure Skulliosis" and giggles. She then angrily glares at Heath and asks what he is doing. Heath declares that he is building a fort out of zombies and creates an imaginary finger gun and pretends to shoot some 'frozen' friends.

Frankie then walks around describing what other monsters will be doing including Operetta, Venus and Robecca. However, Frankie still feels upset that she has no plans and Heath cheers her up by saying that the idea of 2013 means that there are so many surprises waiting for her. Frankie suddenly feels much better and wonders how Heath suddenly became so smart and Heath tells her that is was a secret. Finally, Frankie is ready for the new year and reverses the freezing by feeling so happy. The students count down from three and all shout Happy boo year! Heath salutes and promptly falls over as Spectra catches a picture of him falling. [91]

Picture Day is tomorrow and Draculaura, Clawdeen, Cleo, Ghoulia, and Abbey are looking forward to it. They call each other to talk about just how excited they are. When they call Frankie, they are shocked to learn she isn't at all fazed by Picture Day. They rush to her house to amend the situation with a slumber party fashion show.

All through the night, the girls experiment with the clothes, shoes, hats, and other accessories they brought along to the Stein residence to find the perfect look to be photographed in. While they do succeed, they also take very long to do so and go to bed later then would've been wise. None of them wake up until 8:00, which is when the pictures are taken.

The group rushes to school but arrives only in time to see the school photographer leave. They beg him to stay just a little longer and take their pictures, but he has other appointments to show up on. Seeing the distress on the girls' faces, he notes that he'll be back for other photos next week and that he'll take their pictures then too. The girls are relieved at first, but they panic when they realize they only have one week to pick new outfits. [92]

Gil gets to the accusation that Lagoona can't be trusted on account of her species. Declaring Lagoona the best friend anyone could ever ask for, he recounts incidents with Frankie and Slo Mo in which Lagoona went out of her way to comfort or help them. [93]

Mr. Rotter wants his class to do a presentation on which season they consider the most important. The students are placed in groups of three, with Frankie Stein, Abbey Bominable, and C.A. Cupid forming one together. They agree to go to Abbey's place to work on the presentation.

At Abbey's place, Frankie opens a bag full of old Teen Scream issues for them to get material from. Enquiring which season they should pick, Cupid votes that they do their presentation on Spring, as it is the season of revitalization and love. Abbey objects, because Spring brings pollen along too which she is allergic to. She argues they should pick Winter as the most important season, because it is a time to rest and reflect. Cupid counters that without pollen, there wouldn't be any flowers, and Abbey argues back that Winter means snow and snow means snow days. Seeing a hostile debate coming, Frankie tries to bring up Summer or Fall as the best pick, but neither Abbey nor Cupid listens. The argument escalates when Abbey freezes the bulletin board and Cupid tries to leave angrily. When she opens the doors, the wind blows inside and knocks the board down. Frankie uses the moment to get her friends to calm down and share with them an idea she got seeing all the bulletin board's items spread over the floor.

The next class, the three do their presentation on all seasons, arguing that they are all important in their own way and to one another. Letting the message of their own presentation sink in, Cupid and Abbey reconcile. Rotter awards the three an A for their work. [94]

Skelita is very nervous about her presentation, but Frankie's encouragement helps her get started. Skelita's object of choice is her necklace, a gift from her grandmother, to her and has been in their family for ten generations, starting with the day that Bonempak, the Jefe de Brujeria, wanted to give her daughter the perfect gift. At this point in the presentation, Heath Burns complains it is going to be sappy, so Frankie shocks him to get him quiet again. [95]

Venus rushes across school to request various objects from her friends: bandages from Cleo, distilled water from Lagoona, and a thermometer from Abbey and Frankie. Curious, the four girls follow Venus to discover she needs the items to nurse a sick tree. And not just any tree, but the oldest, still-living tree at Monster High. Venus confides that something is wrong with his roots, but she doesn't know how to help him. Frankie suggests they ask around for someone who does know how to help a dying tree, which reminds Venus of Mother Nature.

The group, sans Cleo, go to a quiet pond in the middle of a forest so Venus can communicate with Mother Nature. The old entity imparts that Venus and her friends are to recall their good memories of the tree and love it back to life. The girls immediately call Cleo and get her to gather the entire student body around the tree.

The students are initially skeptical about their need to be there for the tree, until Venus reminds them that the tree symbolizes their history. Spectra remembers the great stories she wrote under the tree, Manny notes he lost five soccer balls to the tree's branches, Ghoulia thinks back on all the times she studied under the tree, and Draculaura and Clawd recall how the tree was part of their first date. As the students share their individual experiences with the tree, his roots plunge back into the soil and leaves sprout from his branches. With no doubt that the tree has been revitalized, the students celebrate. [96]

The girls, along with Frankie, confront the guys and are finally told they'd been planning their Guys' Night Out for tonight and that they don't want to cancel that. Cleo asks them what they are planning to do if they were so secretive about it, but Clawd replies a girl wouldn't understand. Just then, Jackson passes by and makes an intimidating gesture towards Clawd, which Clawd responds to just as intimidatingly. As the guys walk away, the girls decide that they need to find out what the guys are planning to do. To this result, all of them outright spy on their male friends throughout the day, noticing talk about battle strategies and more intimidating behavior. Their conclusion is unanimous: the boys are planning a fight. The girls thus decide they have to stop them.

They get Ghoulia involved to help them track the boys, which brings the group to the cemetery. Following the noise of tough talk, the girls find the boys... playing a board game and playing it pretty seriously no less. Perplexed but also relieved, Cleo proposes to leave them to their game, but Lagoona objects, saying that the spectacle is hilarious. As the boys continue with their play-battle, unaware they're being watched, the girls get themselves popcorn. [97]

[98]

A party is held at Monster High and Frankie helps out with catering, creating and distributing smoothies to her fellow students and the teachers present. All of her acquaintances are vocally enthusiastic about her blends, which draws the attention of Toralei, Meowlody, and Purrsephone. Almost immediately, Toralei hatches a plan to bully Frankie.

Approaching the stand, Toralei pretends she wants a smoothie too, but her true purpose is to reject each one Frankie offers her, thereby stressing Frankie and holding up the line. Frankie remains oblivious of the werecats' prank, even if the line grows and starts complaining, but she does become frustrated over Toralei's minute complaints. Along with her bad mood, her charge increases, until by accident she electrifies a new smoothie she'd been working on. Toralei grabs it and ignores Frankie's warning not to drink it. Part of the charge passes on to her, which worries Frankie at first, but then Toralei states that though she wants to hate the drink, she can't. She throws it to Purrsephone and makes her way to the dance floor. Taking a sip themselves, Purrsephone and Meowlody soon join her, prompting the other students and even Headless Headmistress Bloodgood to want an electrified smoothie too.

Before long, everyone is dancing to Holt Hyde's music. With no one to serve anymore, Frankie cleans up, happy with the energy her smoothies injected into the party. [99]

Ghoulia attempts to invite Toralei, Meowlody, and Purrsephone to her party, but is met with mockery because she can't voice the purpose of her interruption fast enough on account of being a zombie. Ghoulia's friends come to her aid, but this does not stop the werecats from mocking Ghoulia. Ghoulia retorts that she's just as fast as Toralei, so Toralei proposes a race: Whoever gets to Hackington's classroom at the other side of the school first wins. The loser will help with the catering at the winner's party. Ghoulia accepts the challenge, after which the werecats swiftly run off.

Ghoulia's friends contemplate how they can help Ghoulia win the race and if they have a right to interfere, but before they can reach a conclusion, Ghoulia has already left. She makes her way to the catacombs, while aboveground the werecats have run out of breath and decide to walk the rest of the way, as even then a zombie can't possibly be faster than they are.

Ghoulia and her friends have the time of their unlife at Ghoulia's party. The werecats provide catering as promised, if reluctantly and with a bite to it. Toralei offers two zombies another slice of pie, but trips and gets the pie on her head. The others laugh, but Toralei takes it in stride because the pie is delicious. [100]

Draculaura and Frankie watch a movie together about an alien invasion. It disturbs them deeply; so much so that they are convinced aliens have come to take over Monster High. Specifically, their suspicion is raised when they find Frankie's locker covered in unspecifiable green slime. They share their concern with Cleo and Deuce, but all they do is laugh. Their disbelief fuels Frankie's and Draculaura's conviction in an alien invasion, because in the movie no one believed the protagonists either. They decide to hunt for evidence, which Spectra reports on in The Ghostly Gossip.

The duo runs into Slo Mo at the front doors. He has a small object wedged into the skin of his hand, which Frankie identifies as an alien implant. Headmistress Bloodgood takes a look as well and pulls the object out with a pair of tweezers. She establishes that it is nothing more threatening than a splinter and concludes that there are no evil aliens at play. Frankie and Draculaura immediately suspect her of either being an alien or under alien control, which is such a ridiculous claim that they are on the verge of alienating even their friends.

The two consider ending their search for evidence when they spot a track of the same green slime that was in Frankie's locker. They follow the trail to the gym and find what looks to be an alien. Draculaura texts several friends to check it out. When they arrive, so does Mr. Hackington who reveals that the "alien" is just a contaminated lab rat that escaped from its cage. As their friends laugh once more, Frankie and Draculaura accept that they were wrong about the alien invasion. Headmistress Bloodgood meets them at the front doors and requests that they won't spread any more rumors. They agree to comply, but as they walk away, "Headmistress Bloodgood" short-circuits. The alien controlling the robotic copy of the headmistress doesn't mind, as they've already succeeded in their goal of keeping their presence a secret.

Finnegan Wake (Rider), the new guy at Monster High, is racing through the hallways in his wheelchair with little regard for other people. He is looking for Frankie Stein, who is to welcome him to the school and guide him around. When he finds her, she is in the company of Draculaura and Lagoona Blue. The three girls had been reading Finnegan's blog and figured him to be all about extreme sport, but when they see he is wheelchairbound, they quickly decide to keep him far away from anything too physical. Unfortunately for them, Toralei and her buddies overhear their plans.

The first activity the girls show Finnegan is Penmanship Class, which he is not at all impressed with. They suggest the Library Club, Yarn-collecting Club, and Rock & Pebble Society as alternative things to do, at which point Finnegan ditches them, furious that Monster High doesn't offer him anything exciting. As the trio loses sight of him, they ask Toralei if she's seen Finnegan, and she replies that she not only saw him, but also told him about the Skultimate Roller Maze track in the catacombs.

The girls make their way to the track, where Clawd's letting Finnegan use the track. They berate him for letting Finnegan do something this dangerous, but Clawd counters that not too long ago girls weren't allowed to play SKRM either because others believed it to dangerous for them. As Clawd continues that Finnegan can decide for himself what his limits are, Finnegan crashes during a jump. Frankie asks if he's okay, to which Finnegan enthusiastically replies that he'll do that jump again. As the girls hesitate, Finnegan argues that if Monster High is about being yourself, they should respect his choice to do what he wants to do. He promises that if he needs help, he'll ask for it. Frankie and co. finally agree to stop getting in Finnegan's way, even when he asks them to light his wheels on fire for the second jump. [103]

Headless Headmistress Bloodgood has to decide who of the Monster High staff deserves to be the Creature of the Year. She has reduced the candidates to Mr. Hackington and Mr. Rotter, and enlists Frankie and her friends to help pick between the two teachers.

Lagoona objects to Hackington getting the award, as she remembers his anti-phibian sentiments from when she and Gil had to take care of a gargoyle egg all too well. Cleo also objects on grounds that Hackington enjoys to torment his students by taking "royal delight" in their misery, and threatening they'll fail his class. Bloodgood is shocked to hear this and notes that the award will go to Rotter then. Cleo objects to that candidate too, stating that he is too hard on the students. Frankie adds to that the time he accused several students of taking his glasses, while they were only gone due to his own inattentiveness.

Bloodgood agrees that neither candidate is the kind she wants to hand the Creature of the Year award. Readying herself to start her selection anew with Nightmare's help, Frankie suggests to award her steadfast assistant. And so, Bloodgood announces Nightmare as the Creature of the Year during the ceremony, much to the chagrin of Rotter and Hackington. Everyone else cheers and Nightmare proudly leaves the stage, though not before happily snorting some flames towards the two disqualified teachers. [104]

Heath Burns is lost in a video game-fuelled daydream in which he is a brave knight defending his friends from the evil Sinisterian hordes. As he makes the villains run for their lives, his friend chant his name. This particular part of his daydream is not imaginary though, as his friends are calling him—they want him to lay down his video game and finally get to work helping prepare for the big Friday the 13th party.

Reluctant to leave his game, but eager for the party, Heath obliges and cleans some moss off of a rock. Doing so, however, reveals a message which Heath recognizes as Sinisterian in origin. He translates it for his friends as to read "On Friday the 13th of the 13th year, the Sinisterians will return to this spot to take over." Heath panicks and urges the dance to be cancelled, which none of his friends take well too. They point out that Heath has made wild claims before that only resulted in a lot of chaos about nothing. Heath swears this time the threat is real, but no one believes him.

Just as his friends start to leave, a portal opens on the message's spot and three Sinisterians walk out of it. Heath prepares to defend his friends as he did in his daydream, but the Sinisterians tell him to calm down; they are only here to take over the dance floor and party along! With the unexpected guests' arrival, the Friday the 13th party is declared started. Heath is left confused that the Sinisterians aren't actually evil, to which one of them replies that he should play less video games. [105]

Witnessing another instance of zombies being treated as lesser people, Frankie decides to run for Student Disembodied President in order to obtain the power to help them. Her friends are supportive of her, with Cleo assigning herself as Frankie's campaign manager. For the most part, Frankie enjoys her friends' aid, but she also finds that most of them expect her to use her future influence to spend energy on trivial matters for them. On top of that, Toralei decides to run too—solely so Frankie will lose.

To boost her place in the polls, Frankie and her team make a campaign video. Frankie uses the opportunity to point out that many people have problems and want her to do something about them, but that there's issues that are objectively much more significant and that it's those issues she wants to work on. The team is happy with the resulting video and leave their equipment alone for a bit. Toralei uses this time to rework her opponent's video into one that makes Frankie look like a horrible candidate.

Angered but not defeated, Frankie engages Toralei in a debate. Toralei tries to win votes by making outrageous promises, and Frankie knows she can't beat that. As such, she shifts the attention from her person onto one of the students she wants to help: Sloman Mortavitch. She lets him talk about his experiences as a zombie at Monster High, which move the entire student body. Frankie goes the extra mile by retreating from the election and announcing Slo Mo as the new candidate, since he is a better voice for the zombies than she ever could be. Slo Mo gets twice the votes Toralei gets, and thus becomes the new Student Disembodied President. [106]

Robecca Steam and Draculaura are hanging out on the stairs outside when the latter asks her friend why she insists on using old technology, which is slow and noisy. To make a point, Draculaura shows off her iCoffin to compare to Robecca's typewriter, noting that an iCoffin also allows you to download video games. She downloads one, Angry Ghouls, on the spot to prove her point and becomes oddly entranced by it. Robecca leaves for class and later on meets up with Clawdeen and Frankie to discover Draculaura never attended her class.

They go look for her and find that she's still playing the video game Robecca left her with earlier. Clawdeen angrily takes her friend's iCoffin away, but one glimpse at Angry Ghouls has her entranced like Draculaura. From there, the spell quickly spread and before long everyone is playing Angry Ghouls, teachers and students alike. The only one who stays clean is Robecca, whose worry about the situation rapidly rises as classes become video game mass-sessions and everyone but she starts getting bad grades. This includes Ghoulia Yelps.

Robecca approaches Ghoulia and removes the batteries from her iCoffin, thus breaking the spell. Ghoulia, in turn, creates a virus to inflict on all the iCoffins at school so that Angry Ghouls becomes unplayable. For a moment, it seems everything is back to normal, but then Deuce Gorgon announces the release of a new game that is even better than Angry Ghouls. In moments, the school is caught up in the new video game, leaving both Ghoulia and Robecca highly unamused. [109]

Frankie gets a call from Clawdeen saying that Draculaura isn't going to the school dance at the cemetery that evening. Frankie agrees to meet Clawdeen at Draculaura's home to help out. They find Draculaura crying in her room because she can't find the perfect outfit to wear—something she hasn't worn before. Frankie says that if they'll look through Draculaura's closet they're bound to find something amazing, but Draculaura counters that she hasn't seen her closet yet. Draculaura opens the door and Frankie and Clawdeen realize the search for an outfit is going to be a minor expedition.

Draculaura guides them down the stairs and, on her request, Frankie fixes the light in the closet so they've got a better view. Draculaura still doubts they'll find anything, let alone in time for the dance, but then it's Clawdeen's time to shine by using her nose to find an unworn outfit. It takes a while, mostly due to the size of Draculaura's closet, but then Clawdeen finds an old chest. Draculaura reads from the text on it that the chest is from her great-great-great-grandmother and only to be opened in case of a fashion emergency. Declaring that it's an emergency right now, Draculaura and Clawdeen try to open the chest, but to no avail. Frankie detaches her arm and lets it crawl inside the chest to open it from within, which does the trick.

Draculaura is immensely pleased with the dress and accessories within and soon admires herself in the mirror. As she does, Clawdeen comes with another outfit Draculaura has not worn before, but Draculaura replies that Clawdeen should wear it. Clawdeen doesn't need to be told twice, and soon enough the three, along with Ghoulia and Cleo, are making a smashing impression at the dance. [112]

At Monster High, a casketball game is about to take place between the home team and the West Valley Mages. The Fear Squad is present to cheer for the casketball team, though Ghoulia assures them that Monster High will win by 40 points, seeing as how the members of the West Valley High team are small and scrawny compared to the members of the Monster High team.

Surprisingly, within the first minute a member of the West Valley High team takes the ball from Clawd and scores one for the guest team. Even more surprisingly, this goes on until the score is 22-08 for the West Valley Mages. As the Fear Squad discusses what is going on, Ghoulia notices that the West Valley High coach has a crystal ball with him, with which he predicts Monster High's actions so his team can work them into their own plan. The Fear Squad wonders what they can do about this, and Ghoulia suggests that they try to create noise to make the crystal ball shatter. They'll need the audience's help for that though, so the Fear Squad lets Ghoulia lead a cheer filled with stomping and clapping that swiftly catches on with the audience.

While the opposing team's coach does almost drop the crystal ball, the artifact refuses to show even the tiniest of cracks. Worried, the Fear Squad again turns to Ghoulia, who unleashes a supernatural wail on the crystal ball, utterly obliterating it. Without the West Valley High team's ability to predict the future, the Monster High team catches up in no time, ending the game with a score difference of 36-54. Grateful, the Monster High students lift Ghoulia on their shoulders, chanting her name. [113]

After winning the Gloom Beach tournament, the girls take their time to relax on the beach. The same is true for Ghoulia, who arrives with a large amount of books she intends to gain knowledge from. Cleo is appalled by this, certain that her friend does not know how to have a good time. As such, she and the rest of the girls organize a day of fun for Ghoulia, despite Ghoulia's insistence she already was having fun.

First of, the girls get Ghoulia dressed in appropriate beach attire. Next, the girls go on to build sand castles. Ghoulia starts work on a sturdy, real-life scale castle of sand, but her design stand is knocked over by Heath. Next, Frankie and Cleo take Ghoulia aside for some archery practice. Slo Mo and Don watch as Ghoulia prepares her bow, upon which Cleo takes off Ghoulia's glasses to make her look prettier. As a result, Ghoulia misses the target and accidentally hits Hoodude, whose pain is transmitted to Heath.

Distraught about the depressing experiences, Ghoulia walks off to cry. Cleo and the girls come after her, and Cleo apologizes for insisting that Ghoulia has fun their way instead of her own. Ghoulia accepts the apology and goes back with the others. First, Ghoulia completes her sand castle, which all of the girls find fun. Next, she tries archery again, but this time with her glasses on, and hits the bullseye. As the others are cheering, Cleo admits that Ghoulia's definition of fun is pretty fun. [114]

Draculaura and her friends were hanging out when Cleo came to them with the news that Emily Anne, a beloved anti-hate campaign and blog icon, would visit Monster High that day. The girls rushed to the bathroom to make themselves presentable for her arrival. However, in their eagerness to meet the celebrity, Draculaura's need for assistance with her appearance because she can't check herself in the mirror was ignored. A particular mean remark by Cleo made Draculaura's feelings go from helplessness to being unwanted. Ghoulia still tried to help her, but Draculaura was too emotional to still accept any help and told Ghoulia off. When she left, the water monster, who had seen the entire scene in the bathroom, approached Ghoulia and comforted her.

Draculaura ends her diary entry by acknowledging that she treated Ghoulia awfully and that that is not like her at all. The water monster approaches her and asks what Draculaura ís like, coaxing a few acknowledgements of positive traits out of Draculaura. This makes her feel better, and Draculaura agrees to come with the water monster to greet Emily Anne. It isn't until they are at the main entrance of Monster High that Draculaura realizes the water monster is Emily Anne, who had been walking around incognito to see the special monster school herself. Due to the confidence Emily Anne gave her, Draculaura is capable of facing and apologizing to Ghoulia. Emily Anne gives a small speech that having flaws and acknowledging them is a good thing, because flaws are what gives people their individuality. With Draculaura's story of the day as illustration, the crowd cheers at Emily Anne's positive message. [115]

Frankie just passed the theory portion of her driving test and has the road test scheduled for the afternoon. Her friends are happy for her, but their mood turns sour when they find out her instructor is Mr. Fenderbender. Knowing Frankie needs it, they each offer to help her prepare.

Cleo invites Frankie over to her place and offers her a potion: the Essence of Scario Fangdretti, a race car champion. Frankie is uncertain and accidentally drops the bottle, setting the essence free to speed off. She suggests she'll just study with her book, but her friends disagree. In the gym at school, Abbey has created a course and car made of ice for Frankie to practice with. This session goes decently until Heath Burns stops by and involuntarily melts the setup. Frankie's suggestion to study the old-fashioned way is shot down again when she invited over to Gil's house, along with Lagoona and Jackson, to play Extreme Graveyard Derby. Jackson claims the video game taught him how to drive, but Frankie doubts that when the in-game police motions her to pull over and Jackson argues that you never pull over. Being urged to drive faster, Frankie crashes in-game, which startles her ans makes her shock everyone present.

That afternoon, Frankie returns to the Department of Monster Vehicles for her road test. She witnesses Fenderbender treat another student harshly, making her fearful of her own odds. Taking strength from the fact her friends are present to support her, Frankie goes for it and passes the test easily. Her friends want to know which of their plans was the deciding factor and are unamused that Frankie replies her own studying was what had helped her through the road test. [116]

At Cleo's house, Draculaura and Frankie are enjoying a cheese table when Frido comes begging for treats. Frankie warns Draculaura not to give him cheese, but Frido proves the kind of pet that just takes what it wants. Assuming he's thirsty, Abbey gives him a bowl of water, which is frozen by her powers. Lagoona tries to call her back, but Frido has already taken a sip and is feeling the effects. Frankie tries to wrap a blanket around him to get him warm again, but Frido tackles her, provoking a charge from her.

With all three rules broken, Frido gets hyperactive. Cleo gets a call from Rochelle, whom she lies to that everything is going well. To her horror, Rochelle announces she'll come get Frido in a moment. The girls quickly run after him, only to find him in the middle of the living room as a skeleton motionless lying among his shedded fur. As the girls are mourning, Rochelle steps into the room. They try to apologize and console her for the loss of Frido, but Rochelle assures the rest of the girls that Frido's perfectly fine--as it would seem, Frido's not dead: he's just hibernating (basically sleeping). Rochelle elaborates by explaining that since the girls had (unintentionally) broken the rules she had set out for them, it just made Frido start his hibernation process a week earlier than he normally would've (Frido then briefly wakes up, revealing that Rochelle's telling the truth). The girls, especially Draculaura, are relieved by this. [117]

The girls are preparing cookies for a bake sale, but Cleo is late. She arrives just before the bell, unashamed of her lack of commitment and proud of the new giant mutant octopus polish adorning her fingernails. Her friends aren't amused and tell her to get to work immediately. Cleo does so, if warily of what damage baking may do to her nails. However, due to her lateness, the bell goes when she's barely even touched an unbaked cookie. The group leaves to continue baking later.

What no one noticed is that a bit of Cleo's nail polish stuck with the cookie dough she touched. It becomes sentient, absorbing the other cookie dough and growing in size and hunger rapidly. Its first victim is Mr. Hackington, who sneaks into the kitchen area to steal a cookie. Next, the girls enter. The first thing they notice is that all the cookies are gone and the second that there is a cookie dough monster on the loose. They flee the room screaming.

The boys in the corridor, waiting in line to be the first bake sale customers, try to fight the creature, but even Deuce's gorgon stare doesn't stop it. Almost all of them are subsequently eaten by the cookie dough monster, but when it's Heath's turn to become a snack, the monster's weakness is found: heat. Heath quickly bakes the monster to death, after which all his friends and Mr. Hackington emerge alive from the cookie spill. Frankie spots the nail polish bit that caused all the trouble, revealing that Cleo is to blame. When Headless Headmistress Bloodgood arrives and orders the mess to be cleaned up, everyone agrees that to be Cleo's job. Cleo takes solace in the fact that at least the cookie spill contains chocolate chips. [118]

TV specials[]

Frankie joins her friends in helping prepare for Draculaura's Sweet 1600th Birthday Celebration, even trying to help Clawd with finding a good gift for his girlfriend. Frankie finds herself caught in trying to save Draculaura when a plot set up by a jealous Toralei, who was denied admittance to Draculaura's party, with an old flame of Draculaura's from Transylvania, Valentine, plans to leave Draculaura heartbroken on her Sweet 1600th birthday. When one attempt by C.A. Cupid results in Cupid falling in love with Clawd due to Toralei's intervention, it is only during Draculaura's party that Frankie, with help from Lagoona and Abbey, are able to recover Cupid's bow and break the spell on everyone, giving Clawd the chance he needs to break Valentine's spell on Draculaura, and leave Toralei and Valentine to be ejected from Draculaura's party by Cleo's Anubis bouncers after falling in the Pit of Eternal Body Odor. Frankie sees Draculaura and Clawd off when they leave campus in Draculaura's new car. [119]

Frankie joins her friends on a visit to the Great Barrier Reef in Australia to visit Lagoona's parents during Spring Break from Monster High. When a kraken destroys their ship and leaves them adrift, an eccentric salesman by the name of Bartleby Farnum, rescues them and takes them to Skull Shores, secretly under the surmise that Frankie will lure out the beast that Farnum is searching for on the island. Frankie is soon taken by said beast, only for the beast to be a young, teenage monster by the name of Andy, who becomes his monstrous, beastly self when experiencing negative emotions like anger, hate, and fear, be it from himself or another. The reason he kidnapped Frankie is because she looks so similar to a young girl Andy met a long time ago, who was not scared of him at all. He had made all the statues Frankie has seen around the island to remind him of her and keep him from assuming his beast form. When Farnum takes Frankie hostage and threatens to drain her electricity, Andy transforms and surrenders to Farnum, only for Farnum's plan to fail when Gil arrives with the kraken to sink Farnum's boat and return the students' repaired boat so they can return home. Frankie is able to convince Andy to leave Skull Shores with them and return to Monster High. However, Farnum launches another attack at the school sometime after Andy has enrolled and is still adapting to modern technology due to his isolation on Skull Shores. When Farnum pushes Andy to transform again, Frankie holds her ground to try and talk him out of it, but he takes her and climbs to the top of the school. Once there, Frankie's further attempts to help Andy fail as he once more surrenders to Farnum, only for Farnum to then be betrayed by his assistant, Kipling, leading to Farnum being tar-and-feathered, and hauled away to a psych ward by a couple of humans who he had called to capture Andy. Like with Andy, Frankie convinces Kipling to stay at Monster High as well, and when Headless Headmistress Bloodgood extends Spring Break another week to deal with repairs to the school caused by Farnum's actions, Frankie joins everyone else as they return to Skull Shores to enjoy their extended Spring Break with the Tiki. The ghouls are skating against a rival team in Skultimate Roller Maze (SKRM); highlighting the following players as they skate; Clawdeen, Draculaura, Frankie, Lagoona, Abbey and Ghoulia, then finally Cleo. It is then shown Lagoona crosses the finish line and wins the game for Monster High. Her teammates skate over to congratulate and then the scene flips to Frankie, introducing what SKRM is all about, stating that girls are some of the best players, although it wasn't always that way. Last season was an example and then the film flashbacks to said time. The flashback begins with an unseen announcer welcoming all to the Skultimate RollerMaze game between the Nightmares of Monster High and the Gargoyles of Granite City, and both sides of the crowd are cheering for their team. The four fearleaders; Frankie, Draculaura, Clawdeen, and Cleo; are cheering for MH.

Abbey, who is in the crowd with Lagoona, Jackson, and Ghoulia, along with others, states that she does not see the point in 'skate game' seeing how she's known how to skate since she was up to the height of a yak's knee. Lagoona then points out that Skultimate RollerMaze is so much more than just a skating game; that it's a course full of twists, turns, obstacles and so much more; the whole point of the game is how you react to what's thrown at you. She also states that the Gargoyles are Monster High's biggest and oldest enemy, saying that every time one school wins, they get the other team's school crest, saying that it's been a tradition that has been going on for centuries. The scene then flashes to and stays at the race between Monster High and Granite City, in which Rocco, the leader of the gargoyle team, grabs one of the camera bats, and Gary, his fellow teammate, sneaks up from behind Deuce, taking his glasses off and they turn the camera bat to stone, to leave no evidence of their cheating. Rocco and Gary then knock over Deuce and Gil, leaving them in the dust whilst chasing after the rest of the team.

Fast forward to a few days, in which the students of MH are all distraught about the loss whilst Venus, like always, is encouraging her fellow classmates to get motivated in saving the Earth. Luckily, she manages to somewhat spread the word to Frankie and Clawdeen. Abbey is confused as to why everyone is so upset about the game, but Clawdeen tells her it's bigger than she knows. Toralei is then, apparently, the only one happy about how the Gargoyles of all monsters won. Clawdeen confronts her about how she could turn her back on her school, but Toralei is her usual cocky self, rubbing the victory in the ghouls' faces. Abbey, frustrated, freezes the werecat's phone and tells her to watch herself, but of course, Toralei could care less as she leaves them.

Frankie then notices that the school looks worse than it normally is and suggest that they all go to see Headmistress Bloodgood about what's going on and apparently, their principal gives them the answer that their school spirit is gone. Naturally, Frankie thinks that it's no big deal, but apparently, the school's crest has an actual spirit which protects the halls of Monster High from falling apart, literally! However, getting the crest back is not as easy as it sounds, because, with three injured players of the team, they might not be able to make it to the finals in order to beat the Gargoyles. Now, tending to the boys, Ghoulia suggests that she go to look for clues in order to prove that the Gargoyles did cheat, due to the fact of Clawd's skates breaking just before the finish line, which is an extremely odd coincidence. At the realization that they will not be able to play at all, Clawd apparently cancels SKRM for the season, much to everyone's shock.

Days later, the school continues to fall apart, everyone even more miserable than before. Abbey, Draculaura, and Frankie realize this and then, out of the blue, Frankie hatches up a plan to recruit new members for the SKRM team, so that way MH can beat Granite City and win back the crest! After a bit of reluctance, the ghouls round up almost every boy in the school and judge them for the skills needed in Skultimate RollerMaze; agility, strength... and the ability to skate, most importantly. Whilst doing this, Ghoulia is in the SKRM track, looking for evidence that the Gargoyles cheated, however, a certain something distracts her. A tiny piece of metal, and as of now, it's unknown as to what it is. However, back to SKRM tryouts, where the ghouls judge the mansters carefully, only to the news that most of them can't stand in rollerblades. Lucky for them, Lagoona attempts to teach them, only to be taunted by the fact that a girl of all monsters is teaching them how to do 'their' sport. Nonetheless, she wows them and at first, she's skeptical once Frankie suggests she participate on the team, especially once the boys continue to say that ghouls don't play SKRM, however, Lagoona recollects a memory of a certain SKRM superstar... Robecca Steam! The first ghoul to play SKRM over 100 years ago. Despite this fact, the boys stick to their motto that Skultimate RollerMaze is for guys and they all leave the ghouls to fend for themselves, however, they team up together and vow to win, for Monster High!

Naturally, at the sight of ghouls in SKRM gear, the school is shocked by the decision of Frankie and her friends deciding to take the place of the former team. Clawd mainly is surprised, due to his being the captain of the team. At first, he believes it to be a joke, although once he finds out that the girls are serious, he urges them not to play, despite their knowledge of Robecca Steam, who apparently, according to Clawd, got demolished and was never heard from again. Draculaura then tries to reason with him, but he refuses to listen, much to the dismay of most of the ghouls. Nonetheless, with Frankie's assurance and persuasion, the lot of them decide to still play, for the fate of their beloved school, however, the training they attempt to pursue is worthless, due to their little to no knowledge of the sport. Most of them can barely skate or follow the rules, although they try and do what they can. During this training, Ghoulia finds yet another piece of metal, this one a bit bigger than the previous and blue, she seems both confused and pondering over what it is. Apparently, part of the ghouls' training is to skate throughout the school and despite they're getting better, Frankie and Draculaura are still lacking in the art of it, still quite clumsy with it. This is noticed by many students, but Operetta mainly for some reason, who watches their every move and eventually daringly rescues them from crashing and getting injured. Upon this, Frankie offers the music diva if she wants to join the SKRM team, although Operetta refuses, claiming that she's not the type to join any kind of organized team sports, and she leaves the ghouls, not bothering to say anymore.

The ghouls first matchup is against the all zombie school, the worst in the league. Frankie gets very nervous and short circuits, thus causing the team to a false start and be disqualified. Clawd confronts Draculaura and instead of offering help demands that she stop playing, or else he will break up with her. Draculaura refuses to abandon her friends. Then Manny and Heath videotape the fiasco and mock them. Operetta appreciates the rebellious attitude and joins the team, taking Cleo's spot. She helps teach the ghouls the rules, but her attitude makes her a poor coach. Luckily, Clawd returns as the team's new coach. After a strict training regimen, the ghouls are ready for their sophomore debut against Vampire Academy. The ghouls play well but are best at the last minute by rough tactics of the vampires. Serendipitous, Operetta was knocked into a pile of tires that contained glowing artifacts. Ghoulia explains that is the last piece she needed to rebuild Robecca Steam! Robecca is glad to hear that over 100 years SKRM has progressed enough to allow female players. The ghouls regretfully explain that is not the case, and they are the only all-ghoul team and are faced with prejudice. Robecca offers her assistance as a player, but she is still missing her balance modulator. Her one piece of advice is that "If you want to win...you need to be true to yourselves...If you want to beat the boys you need to play like girls." Thus inspiring their new fashionable outfits. The gargoyles begin to mock the new outfits, but the masked player on the team reveals that she is, in fact, a ghoul. Rochelle Goyle announces that she transferred from Granite City to Monster High. She takes Frankie's spot on the team. The ghouls enter a round robin tournament and eventually make their way up the leader board until they qualify for the final match between Granite City. Instilling the school with pride, the ghouls are now wildly popular and even gained the respect of Manny and Heath, who even volunteer to be the team's new cheerleaders. During practice, Clawd fears that his intense training won’t be enough to defeat Granite City. Robecca tells Clawd every team has a weakness; he just has to look for it. Clawd notices that Toralei is spying on the team's practice, so hints that they need to play up the discord. The next day Toralei tries to conspire with Operetta against the team.

The final match against Granite city is intense. The gargoyles try to muscle the ghouls, but they use the agility and Abbey's ice powers to avoid many pitfalls. Eventually, Clawdeen gets injured, and Clawd calls an injury timeout. Draculaura doesn't want to come in, but Clawd tells her that he believes in her. The team starts up again. During the final stretch, Operetta calls out to Rocco to signal the two gargoyles for a sandwich maneuver. Operetta being a double agent, Dracularua and Rochelle were ready for the move and jump out of the way. Operetta then tackles the two gargoyles, while Rochelle slingshots Draculara to the front with Rocco (thanks to a sonic blast boost from Operetta). In a photo finish, Draculaura wins by a leg. It is revealed that it was Clawd’s plan all along. Toralei couldn't pass up the chance to betray the Ghouls, and Granite City couldn’t pass up the chance to cheat. Now the champions, they win back their crest, thus restoring the school from its dilapidated state. They are also entitled to Granite Highs crest, but Frankie realizing the futility of "traditions" especially ones that cause suffering to others, refuses to accept the crest since it will also cause Granite High to decay. Meanwhile, Ghoulia realizes that the trophy is actually Robecca's balance module. Manny and Heath battle for front row pictures of the new, but bump the trophy out of Clawd's hands. Clawdeen quickly moves to catch it, then Draculara realizes that Clawdeen may have faked her injury to allow her the opportunity to compete in the finals. [121]

Frankie's first Halloween becomes tarnished when she is taught of the hostility between humans and monsters. Following an attack by two students from New Salem High, she resolves to do something and through luck and determination she finds the long lost Hall of Halloween. She attempts to re-teach the true meaning of the holiday to everyone, but gets caught up in the events being orchestrated by Lilith Van Hellscream and Cleo to keep the hostilities flaring between humans and monsters. Her first visit to New Salem results in her befriending a couple of the students, Chad and Clair, but she ends up with detention upon returning to Monster High. When Jackson Jekyll/Holt Hyde does not return with them and is still at New Salem, Frankie takes Abbey, Lagoona, and Deuce with her to try and save him. They fail as Jackson is exposed as Holt by Lilith to the New Salem Sheriff, and he plans on executing Holt with the Trick-Or-Treatment. Frankie and the others are allowed to return back to Monster High, where they are given detention once more, along with the threat of expulsion if they return to New Salem again. With Headless Headmistress Bloodgood ordered not to intervene by the Monster Elder Council in saving Holt, Frankie tries to save Holt herself by getting Cleo and Lilith to confess to the Sheriff, but he refuses to release Holt under the surmise of wanting to prove he's a capable lawman. As a result, Frankie joins forces with Lilith, Chad, and Clair, to rescue Holt, and lure the New Salem kids to the Hall of Halloween to show them the true spirit of Halloween, dressing in her Ghouls Rule attire with Cleo, Draculaura, Clawdeen, and Abbey. When the Sheriff and his officers arrive to arrest not only Holt, but Frankie and the other Monster High students as well, Lilith and the New Salem students protect them, forcing the Sheriff and his men to stand down and join the festivities.

Frankie discusses how she was able to help restore the true meaning of Halloween back to both Monster High and New Salem High, and then joins everyone in dancing before a final shot of Frankie and her friends in their Ghouls Rule attire. [122]

Frankie informs the audience of an eclipse in a faraway land. Inside the mysterious castle of a desert area, a genie named Gigi Grant is being chased by her shadow sister, Whisp, in order to gain her current finder's, Fawn, last wish. While Fawn is unaware of the incoming danger, she is being influenced by Whisp to grant all power to the shadow genie. While Gigi tries to prevent Fawn from making the wish, the eclipse arrives and Whisp becomes real. Seeing Whisp about to use Fawn to make the last wish, Gigi forces herself to break the rules and free Fawn of Whisp’s power using Grimm’s Magic Mirror. Gigi successfully manages to break the spell over Fawn, but shatters the mirror. After the eclipses passes, Whisp returns to being a shadow. Fawn then uses her last wish to pull the mirror, Whisp and Gigi back into the lantern. After a blinding light, Fawn wakes in the middle of the desert as the lantern is taken away to the next finder…

A thousand years later to the present, Monster High welcomes back the students for the new scaremester. Everyone talks about the upcoming events for the year such as the upcoming occultation (eclipse) while expressing what they wish would happen throughout the new school year. Howleen Wolf, who no longer wants to be an outcast, plans to take more action as so far as to arrange her name in lights while her shadow friend, Twyla, protests against it. Frankie Stein, Clawdeen Wolf, Lagoona Blue, Draculaura and Ghoulia Yelps spot Howleen and attempt to stop her, however they are too late and are later punished to clean the school attic by Headless Headmistress Bloodgood. Howleen apologizes as they clean while Clawdeen tries to understand her little sister’s reasoning, but is dismissed by Howleen very quickly. As she moves away and cleans more of the attic, Howleen unknowingly eventually finds the lantern and releases Gigi. The pink genie introduces herself and explains that Howleen is her new finder and therefore is granted thirteen wishes. Howleen uses her first wish to wish the ghouls and herself out of detention. As Gigi grants the wish, they disappear in a flash of light and unintentionally free Whisp. The shadow genie sees the opportunity of another eclipse and follows the ghouls unseen.

The ghouls later arrive at the Maul to fang out as Gigi elaborates on Howleen’s twelve remaining wishes and warns her there is a ‘dark side’ to using them. However, seeing Howleen excited about using her wishes, Clawdeen advises Howleen to take Gigi’s words seriously. Howleen, however, takes it defensively and runs off with the lantern while annoyed at her sister's words. Later, back at Monster High, Draculaura helps Abbey Bominable run against Slo-Mo for Student Disembodied President while Frankie shows Gigi around the school. Despite the argument earlier, Howleen took the advice to heart and uses some of her wishes to help her friends: Lagoona turns into a freshwater monster to convinced Gil Webber ’s parents to like her, Clawd Wolf along with Heath Burns and Manny Taur get casted on the show ‘Die Trying’ and Abbey becomes the new disembodied president. Before Howleen can congratulate herself, Gory Fangtell torments her in the bathroom and leaves her crying alone. Watching from afar, Whisp uses this opportunity to take advantage of Howleen to wish for things more for herself. She summons Gigi, who is alarmed by Whisp and warns Howleen about the wishes. However, Whisp reminds her about the rules and Howleen uses her next wish to become popular.

While enjoying her new popularity, Howleen offers to wish the same for Twyla. Twyla politely turns her down, not comfortable with all the attention. Howleen then leaves her behind and is chastised by Cleo De Nile. Frankie then talks with Gigi about her life in the lantern and discovers that she’s lonely and will leave Monster High after the last wish is granted. Not wanting her new friend to leave, Frankie vows to help change Gigi’s life. As days pass, some of the side-effects of the wishes begin to take effect around the school and cause problems such as Lagoona becoming obsessed with being freshwater, the obstacles of Die Trying becoming very dangerous and Abbey's ideas as president not being taken well by the school. Twyla then tells Frankie and Gigi that Howleen is beginning to not act like herself and she senses something strange within the shadows. Frankie asks if Gigi knows anything, but Gigi sadly tells them that she cannot say anything due to the Lantern’s magic. Frankie and Twyla then try to find out on their own what is wrong with Howleen, but are dismissed by her thanks to Whisp's influence. Cleo encounters Howleen and irks her enough to wish for Cleo to be turned into a nobody. Clawdeen later sees how Howleen dismisses her friends and finally confronts her on what she was doing. Howleen listens and is about to help after summoning Gigi but is disheartened when she hears Clawdeen tell Gigi that she doesn’t think she’s mature enough to use the wishes. She then uses her next wish to make Clawdeen disappear into the lantern, leaving her shadow behind and giving Whisp more power.

Frankie, Draculaura and Ghoulia notice the changes and later fins Gigi crying in the garden. Gigi is reluctant to explain (even when learning of the upcoming eclipse) that she is not allowed to influence the finder, but Frankie and Ghoulia point out that they are not the finder and Gigi should be able to tell them. Gigi realizes they are right, and leads the ghouls away to the attic to explain everything regarding Whisp and where the real Clawdeen is. She warns them of Whisp’s plan to use the eclipse and one of Howleen’s wishes to gain all the power to banish everyone at Monster High and replace them with shadow versions to rule the world. Wanting to save their friends, Frankie and the others help devise a plan to save Clawdeen with the use of an orb given to them by Gigi which will allow them to leave the lantern. They later find Howleen and Shadow Clawdeen in the bathroom and confront Howleen to make her purposely wish them into the lantern to find Clawdeen, unknowingly leaving their shadow versions behind. Gigi then leaves Howleen alone, alerting her of how many wishes remains.

Inside the lantern, Frankie, Draculaura and Ghoulia successfully find Clawdeen, but not without being confronted by Whisp, who lets them know that she has power within the lantern. Clawdeen then shows the ghouls the ‘Genieology’ telling of Gigi’s story and why she was reluctant to interfere. They use a map to search for the missing shard of the mirror. Meanwhile in Monster High, Twyla is watching from the shadows, trying to think of ways to help Howleen while reluctantly helping Cleo regain her popularity and Deuce Gorgon’s love. The shadow ghouls then make their move and help Howleen take over the school by replacing Bloodgood with herself as Headmistress and banishing Abbey and Cleo to the lantern, who then join the other ghouls to find the mirror pieces. The monsters prepare for an eclipse party where Whisp is setting up for Howleen to use her next wish to grant all power to the shadow genie. Twyla follows Howleen and sees that Whisp is the one controlling her. After finding twelve pieces, the ghouls find Whisp’s room and realize she has the last piece. After nearly losing the exit orb, Frankie gets it back and returns to Monster High with the other ghouls on magic carpets in time for the eclipse. Whisp tries to influence Howleen to make the wish, but Twyla steals the last mirror shard and assembles the mirror to break the spell. Howleen awakes in time and rejoins the ghouls without making the wish, causing Whisp to fail once again as the eclipse ends.

The ghouls rejoin Howleen, grateful that she is alright. Howleen is glad that her friends never gave up on her as Gigi assures her that it is safe for Howleen to use her last two wishes. Howleen uses the first one to undo all of her previous wishes, much to the delight of Monster High. Gigi is joined by a defeated Whisp, explaining the last wish will send them both back into the lantern. The monsters are reluctant to let Gigi go and plead for her to stay. Gigi expresses she would love to, but cannot as long as she’s bound to the lantern. Howleen then suggests another way as she explains to Whisp she understood her plight before making her last wish for Gigi's freedom and for Whisp to become what she always wanted to be: a real genie. Gigi happily grants the wish, freeing herself and allowing Whisp to become the new genie of the lantern. Whisp leaves with the lantern and falls down into the deep end pool where it will be found again someday.

A party is then held later that night to celebrate the eclipse, featuring a concert performed by Catty Noir. Gil is relieved to have the old Lagoona back, and not the Lagoona his parents wanted her to be. Cleo is happy to have Deuce and her popularity back while inviting to share it with Howleen and Twyla. Clawd, Manny and Heath almost win on ‘Die Trying’, though have somewhat a traumatic experience. Frankie closes the story with the moral: Everyone has something they wish for, but it might not turn out to be what you really want. [125]

Frankie stays behind at Monster High when Draculaura returns to Transylvania with Prime Minister Lord Stoker, Clawdeen, Cleo, Hoodude, and Robecca. Together with Abbey and Lagoona, they stay out of the argument between Toralei and Howleen regarding which of two actors is better than the other, until Operetta suggests settling the matter in Cute Court. It's after the court session is over that Ghoulia reveals a critical piece of information to Frankie and the others before traveling to Hauntlywood with Operetta to tell Draculaura about it. Frankie attends the debut of the latest movie by Veronica Von Vamp, really the Vampire Queen Elissabat, and celebrates with the others when Draculaura receives her full vampire powers. [126]

Frankie finds herself struggling to find information about her family for a project for Mr. Rotter, but her parents withhold telling her anything, and she knows little about her grandfather, Victor Frankenstein. Disappointed by Frankie's pathetic presentation, Mr. Rotter assigns her to redo it. Frankie is also the narrator for a play on Monster High's history that her friends are doing for the performing arts teacher, Mr. Where, to help celebrate Monster High's Bicentennial Anniversary.

During an incident that transports her, Ghoulia, Toralei, Cleo, Draculaura, Clawdeen, Lagoona, Jinafire, Robecca, and Venus to 1814, they see Robecca's father, Hexiciah Steam, as a former professor at Monster High, and a young, intelligent student by the name of Sparky. Sparky is trying to find that critical spark to create life, but continues to fail due to his lack of patience. When Sparky follows them back to Hexiciah's lab after discovering Frankie to be what he's struggling to create, he damages the time portal they came through, causing eight of Frankie's friends to be accidentally fused together into freaky hybrids of themselves as they return to 2014. Frankie and Ghoulia are unaffected since they went through individually, but the others have become Clawvenus(Clawdeen and Venus), Dracubecca(Draculaura and Robecca), Cleolei(Cleo and Toralei), and Lagoonafire(Lagoona and Jinafire).

While Ghoulia tries to fix the portal, Frankie covers for her friends over what happened by thinking up an excuse for Mr. Where regarding their new appearances. Following the dress rehearsal for the play that proves disastrous because of Frankie's friends being unable to control their new bodies, Neighthan Rot comes forward to offer Frankie the help of the new, hybrid students that just enrolled in Monster High with getting her friends accustomed to their new forms. With the aid of Avea, Sirena, Bonita, and Neighthan, Frankie's friends gain better control of their hybrid forms, and a romantic relationship seems to develop between Frankie and Neighthan after he offers his assistance in helping out Frankie. Interesting enough, every time Frankie worries about her friends or is in a deep, emotional state, her neck bolts let off a powerful, green discharge of electricity as a result, shocking Neighthan when it happens. However, no one, not even Frankie, understands why this happens. Neighthan suggests that the discharges prove Frankie is alive because of how she felt at those moments.

Tragedy strikes when during the official performance of the play, it is interrupted by Creation 4.0, the latest attempt by Sparky to create life after he was brought to 2014 by accident as well and attempted to try again using modern technology. When the monstrosity captures Frankie's freaky fused friends as it's prisoners, the overwhelming emotional reaction Frankie endures over seeing them in trouble causes the very essence of the spark of her life force to manifest physically as powerful, green electricity for her to use to electrocute Creation 4.0 and free her friends, defusing them in the process, but also taking a heavy toll on Frankie as well. Despite her suffering, she refuses to quit even after freeing Cleo, Toralei, Clawdeen, Venus, Lagoona, and Jinafire, as she uses every ounce of energy she has left to save Robecca and Draculaura, and shut down Creation 4.0 for good, but the toll it takes on her leaves her fatally drained as well. Guilty over what he's done, Sparky apologizes and reveals his true name to be Victor Frankenstein, Frankie's grandfather. Frankie dies happy at having gotten to meet her grandfather in person after all before she passed away. Everyone is devastated and heartbroken over her death.

Despite the tragedy, Victor attempts to redeem himself thanks to Ghoulia's encouragement by trying to revive Frankie in a modified version of Hexiciah's rejuvenation chamber, but it takes the spark of joy that Frankie has brought to everyone at Monster High, friends and fellow students alike, that is able to bring her back from the dead, while also changing her physical appearance as well. With streaks of blue, green, and yellow in her black hair, lightning bolt earings and stitches, and a matching dress to boot, Frankie is revived, and following after Victor and Hexiciah return to 1814, Frankie's parents come clean and tell her everything about the family history, including the family photo album. Frankie even manages to finish the play on Monster High's history with her friends, both old and new, as Avea and the other hybrids are welcomed to Monster High with open arms.

Thanks to those events, Frankie's second attempt at her project for Mr. Rotter scores her an "A" for a wonderful job, and she ends with discussing what she learned from her experiences about family and what happened to all her friends from this experience. [127]

Frankie is part of the group being trained by Toralei for an upcoming dance recital. However, when Lagoona is discovered to be well-skilled with dancing, but seizes up in stage fright when performing in front of a crowd, Frankie tries to help her out with overcoming it. After Toralei humiliates Lagoona by posting her paralyzed expression on the Web, when Lagoona confronts Toralei about it, Frankie ends up being among the friends who are sucked into the Monster High school pool and transported back to Lagoona's home of the Great Scarrier Reef, with Frankie being given a mermaid form based off the electric eel, allowing her to utilize her electrical powers while in that state. They soon meet Posea, daughter of Poseidon, who brought Lagoona back to help overcome her fear, and then return to Lagoona's home to meet her former friend, now arch-rival, Kala Mer'ri, and her ally, the sisters Peri and Pearl Serpentine, along with Lagoona's father and younger siblings. Frankie acts as a pillar of support for Lagoona during their time at the Great Scarrier Reef, all the way up to when they perform in the Siren of the Sea competition, where Lagoona suffers another of her panic attacks, but before Kala can lead the crowd in laughing and jeering at her, Frankie comes to her aid and encourages the crowd to cheer Lagoona on for taking the stage again, despite her stage fright. Kala, enraged, summons her father, the Kraken, and pursues Frankie and the others back to Posea's garden, where Posea reluctantly sends them back to Monster High, returning Frankie to her normal appearance, but also accidentally sending Kala and her father there as well. As Frankie and the others rally the rest of the students to try and save their school from the Kraken's siege, Lagoona is able to confront Kala and convince her to stop her father's rampage as she would be welcomed to Monster High and not be ridiculed like back in the Great Scarrier Reef. Frankie joins everyone in the celebration that follows at the Monster High pool. [138]
