Ebbie Blue is a 2017-introduced and doll-only character. She is the youngest of the Blue Family and due to her young age, she has a fish tail instead of legs.[1]

Character[]

Background[]

Not much is known about about her background other than her being apart of the Blue family. And she may be a mermaid now but when she hits puberty she will grow legs and be more like other water monsters.

Appearance[]

Ebbie has a pale blue mermaid tail that she will lose after puberty as she'll grow legs. She has blue skin, fin-like ears, dark blue curly hair in twin tails, and no hair at the sides. She wears a black sleeveless top and a ruffle-like belt around her waist.

Abilities and Skills[]

For Water monsters, see Ebbie Blue (G2) (disambiguation).
  • Ebbie can breathe both on land and underwater.
  • Ebbie is a natural-born swimmer but cannot walk because she has a tail and no legs. Whether she'll develop legs as she grows or if the tail is hers to keep is unclear.[1]

Relationships[]

Family[]

Ebbie is one of the youngest of the Blue family. Her father is Wade Blue and her siblings in order of youngest to oldest are Dewey, Squirt, and Tadpole, Kelpie, and Lagoona. Her mother may or may not be a sea nymph that hasn't been named yet.

Timeline[]

  • July 28, 2016: Mattel requests the trademark for Ebbie Blue.
  • Mid July, 2017: Ebbie Blue's debut doll is released as part of the Monster Family - Small Siblings series.

Ebbie is presumably like a tadpole and will grow legs within a few years. However, the Blue Family in Generation 1 consists of a merman as maternal grandfather. He is not confirmed to exist in Generation 2 the way his daughter and his other grandchildren are, but he's not confirmed not to exist either, so Kelpie could have her tail from him.
