The Monster High cartoon series, doll diaries and Monster High books focus on new girl Frankie Stein and her "ghoulfriends", their boyfriends and crushes, and the teachers and staff of Monster High.

  +
If the amount of character-differentiated dolls might seem overwhelming, Monster High has plenty more characters other than those with dolls. In fact, since the number of characters has become so large, the page has been split into four portions.

The Ghoulfriends
  +
** The ghoulfriends - The franchise's main crew, consisting of the seven most featured characters, both fiction-wise and doll-wise. These seven also often interact closely within the fiction.
Frankie Stein
  +
** Monster High students - The Monster High student body minus the ghoulfriends, which makes up most of the primary cast of Monster High.   +
** Other students - Characters who attend high school, but who do not attend Monster High. Most of these characters only appear once in the fiction, but the section also contains students who have not been confirmed to attend Monster High yet or who have left Monster High. On top of that, the section includes characters exclusive to the Monster High book series.

  +
** Former students - This section comprises the characters who are past high school, but aren't exactly adults yet. It does not matter whether they are former Monster High students or former students of another school for them to be included in this section.

Main Students Adults Pets Small Other

If the amount of character-differentiated dolls might seem overwhelming, Monster High has plenty more characters other than those with dolls. In fact, since the number of characters has become so large, the page has been split into four portions.

Please select which page to read:

  • Students
    • The ghoulfriends - The franchise's main crew, consisting of the seven most featured characters, both fiction-wise and doll-wise. These seven also often interact closely within the fiction.
    • Monster High students - The Monster High student body minus the ghoulfriends, which makes up most of the primary cast of Monster High. This section includes former backgrounders and semi-backgrounders, as well as characters exclusive to the Ghoulfriends book series.
    • Other students - Characters who attend high school, but who do not attend Monster High. Most of these characters only appear once in the fiction, but the section also contains students who have not been confirmed to attend Monster High yet or who have left Monster High. On top of that, the section includes characters exclusive to the Monster High book series.
    • Former students - This section comprises the characters who are past high school, but aren't exactly adults yet. It does not matter whether they are former Monster High students or former students of another school for them to be included in this section.
  • Adults
    • Monster High staff - The staff and associates of the titular high school, regardless whether they teach or fulfill another function, regardless when they were associated with Monster High, and regardless of the fiction they appear in.
    • Other adults - All the individual, adult characters that appear in Monster High, but aren't related to the school.
  • Pets
    • Primary pets - The pets of Monster High that are marketed by the franchise. Usually, they have a trademark and get a role in their owners' diaries.
    • Secondary pets - The pets of Monster High that are essentially fiction-only and rarely feature in more than one medium.
  • Other
    • Miscellaneous characters - Every character or group of characters that cannot readily be placed on the student or adult subpages.
    • Dead Fast cast - In addition to the above, there is a handful of characters that are fiction even in the fiction of Monster High. So far, they are all part of the Dead Fast cast.
